That video pretty much sums up how this tournament works. Can't really complain since I cheesed 4 out of my 15 matches. Got 18k out of it at 9th place.

I can easily help someone else cheese to 1920 if all goes perfectly (read: no sleepwalking into a Plus loss, or losses in general) but getting higher than that mystifies me even with intense coordination.

The biggest challenge I can see to using mules is simply making them on populated servers.

15 is pretty easy considering they can just tag a mob whilst someone out of party finishes it off and they get full credit. I got someone 1 > 10 doing this in about 10 minutes and we didn't purposely seek out the best mobs to do it on, I just had him run around the horizon tele which is really inefficient. (This was a newbie to get him closer to unlocking a job quicker as he was just playing in freebie week, wasn't for TT cheating)

That's just made me realize. That first tournament was seriously in freebie week? Man, that is like encouraging that shit.

My guess would be having mules win against mules then lose to mains at greater value.

3 mules get 10 wins from 3 other mules, then each give 5 wins to 1 main

vs

5 mules get 12 wins from 5 other mules, then each give 3 wins to 1 main

The more mules you have the more you can appreciate their point value.

Question, did anyone get an amount of MGP that wasn't 1k that also didn't make top 20? I'm wondering if the rewards are calculated for overall ranking or if it doesn't give a fuck if you're below the cutoff.

Pretty sure the NPC specifically says people who don't place just get the 1k consolation prize.

Look at it this way, now you've got a whole week for you and a friend to level mules to 15 and plan your match fixing.

Remember it's whoever hits the number first who's #1. So good luck match fixing at like 3 or 4 AM or whenever the fuck it is on a Tuesday.

Nah, if I had to fix matches at Monday night and saw the same number over and over, I'd use alts to throw to alts, and then farm that alt.

Oh yeah, that's not the rules. I'm just saying it would hamper the fixers if they did that. But yeah Roulette would be worse than reverse probably.

The fact it's a different card each tourny is the most retarded thing in my opinion. Yeah it's nice for the top 3 winners each tourny but it basically screws over the thousands of other people who will be lucky to place just once

Wouldn't have been as much of a problem if tournaments were every week instead of every 2 weeks. Or if card wasn't just the top 3. Or if tournament wasn't hot rigged garbage :V
