U'ralka might be one of these NPCs? Southern Thanalan (14, 30)
But their top menu option is blank, although that's where Triple Triad Challenge is usually located in these menus. Clicking it does nothing.

Well the text in the patch notes do imply that they added multiple NPCs. Strange that only 1 is confirmed so far though, even if it is only day 1.
got lightning card. took 48 wins to get.
time to spam! better not be another gaius...
so the new NPCs are mainly to get tourney type of exclusive cards i guess....
0/90 on tataru. she was cute in msq. now she isn't.
Haven't finished MSQ but looking at her deck and the rules she seems like a pita to beat and worse than Rowena pre-nerf
Yeah, she's definitely a pain in the ass. Sure, she looks and acts all adorable in general, but when it comes to TT, she skips the lube and goes hard.
I don't mind though. With Random/Roulette, it keeps the matches interesting. I like having a few NPCs who aren't faceroll easy.
Reverse always screws me. I never notice till about 3 moves in
I cracked the new tournament math after a few games and got myself 4647 points on Greg..Gilgamesh server (current #1) - They fixed a few things but its still very easy to abuse for almost guaranteed top 3 placement.
I'll be curious to see if anyone beats me this week, I am pretty sure no one will be able to but you never know.
Its possible but requires a heavy commitment.
I'm estimating the max possible this week to be around 4800 - but I'd like to be proven wrong.
My lowest scores were 118 and 127 - the first few games to figure out the new math, a few were 130 and biggest part of the score is from 135-137 pts each game.
This is only based off my personal experience playing Tataru for 10-15 minutes after the maintenance, but it seems she may have been nerfed. On average, I got substantially better hands via Random after last night's patch. I'm actually seeing more 2*/3* cards than 1* cards.
I don't see it nerfed. They would of mentioned something about an npc being too difficult etc.
Glad shit is over with now, 1/169
She can be next to die for all I care.
Spoiler: show
The lightning card she does exist o.O
Grats on the card! I've not seen it, but I will get Vaan with about 10 moire wins ...
After playing some more TT last night, I do think I'm wrong in regards to a Tataru nerf. As is common with SE (they've aloways liked ninja adjustments), I believe they quietly tweaked the algorithm that generates the player's hand for Random rule matches. This would affect all NPCs with the Random rule, not only Tataru. I'm seeing far more 2* and 3* cards (and a 4*/5* card) in my generated hands.
Go play Landenel for about 10-15 minutes. No, really. I mean it. He used to be a complete waste of time (worse than Swift), but yesterday, an Odin card dropped after 6ish wins. And before yesterday, just getting a bloody draw against the guy felt like a big victory.
I wish I could say I've had that kind of luck. I'm at 59 cards and the only NPC drops I have left are Odin, Gaius, and Lightning. I've had horrible luck on all the dungeon drops so I was spamming Landenel the other night and out of an hour of straight grinding I only had a handful of times where I had anything remotely decent. It was almost always 1star bullshit.
Farm lightning, do prae <12 min runs, and farm odin. Those will make you not go crazy.
Random still seems way too unbalanced. I find myself losing 75% of my games against Tataru and more against Landenel. But I am still <60 cards.
