That's a shame. I felt it was a good iteration to the series.

This is very upsetting but it’s Disney’s 65 episode rule. Basically they only make 65 episodes because that is the exact amount needed to be able to air one episode every weekday for 13 weeks in which they can either repeat the cycle or switch to another show for 13 weeks and just cycle thru the catalog.

Really, who didn’t watch Disney’s well-received DuckTales revival and think, “Why is this a TV show, instead of a parody podcast mimicking the tone and cadences of long-running radio staple This American Life?” Now, at last, that Ira Glass-minded hypothetical can finally have its day in the sun, as Disney announced that, although DuckTales is done as a TV series as of its big series finale next week, it’s also set to revive itself once again, this time as a Danny Pudi-fronted podcast titled, well, This Duckberg Life.

And by Danny Pudi, we really mean his character, Huey Duck, who will be hosting the seven-part scripted podcast in his best Glass cadences. Given that the DuckTales cast already included some serious podcasting MVPs—including Pudi’s co-nephews Ben Schwartz and Bobby Moynihan—we’re cautiously excited for this, even if we probably can’t expect any Solo Bolos or Time Bobby shenanigans to break out. The series itself is set to feature pretty much the entirety of the DuckTales cast, including Scwartz, Moynihan, Beck Bennett, David Tennant, Kate Micucci, Toks Olagundoye, Jim Rash, Josh Brener, certified Disney Legend Tony “Donald Duck” Anselmo, and, of course, character actress Margot Martindale as Ma Beagle, who will presumably somehow transition this into the first-ever Emmy win for a performance on a podcast.

This Duckberg Life debuts on March 29 on YouTube and DisneyXD VOD; you can listen to a clip from the series featuring Bennett’s Launchpad McQuack in the video above.

I could have bought an 11 pull and have 1000 gems left over, but all I got was this silly title.

    Series Final

    Spoiler: show

The finale was nice but I’ll admit that the twist that Webby was a clone of Scrooge originally named April and therefore his daughter felt like an ass-pull.  Admit it.  This is something that could’ve worked better had it been set up in advance from the beginning of the show. The show has always been working to show how much family means more and how webbys never not been a mccduck.

The only thing! The only thing I wish we got to see some sort of answer for, or some kind of plan of what they would have done is...well...Negaduck I guess...

Of course there is Darkwing Duck reboot but unknown if it will related to 2017 Ducktales.

    That sounds terribad.
    Spoiler: show

So is she one of the Daisy's triplet nieces? April, May and June were featured in the Three Caballero's cartoon which wasn't too bad.

Agreed with Ker's criticism. It felt like it came out of nowhere and wasn't even foreshadowed this season. And yeah, Webby's role in the story to this point has been the "you don't have to be related by blood to be family" character.

Few other nitpicks, Bradford's deal was that Scrooge could go home with his family if he stopped adventuring, right? So wouldn't the contract be voided when he threw Donald into the portal?

Also, didn't the stone merge two people or things, so who did they merge with Scrooge to make Webby, or was she a normal clone? And if so, doesn't that criticism hold for May and June?

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the finale and I'm sad that it's gone, just a few issues here and there.

I think a lot of people had the same feeling about the contract...the moment Bradford yeeted Donald, the contract was null and void. I think they just opted to give Louie a moment and circle back to the whole message that family is the greatest adventure since the series has always been about that.

As for the whole cloning thing, it was a bit unexplained. The stone of what was combines two things into something new and the only thing I could think of that makes any sense is that if two animals touch the stone it creates a freaky hybrid of a similar age between the two. However, if you provide the stone with the genetic material of two animals, it combines them but it doesn't have enough "information" to make an exact clone, and the result is a de-aged new product. I can only rationalize this with the ButterBear being in a cocoon...maybe the wind blew the hair of a bear and the chrysalis of a butterfly onto the stone and it made a ButterBear larva. In Webby's case for being cloned, after Scrooge made the Papyrus only appear to his descendant, Bradford knew he needed to somehow make a clone. I am guessing he took a feather from scrooge but it is unclear if he used another feather (Maybe from Pepper?) to combine it to make a baby Webby/April since Finches journal said "What was once TWO becomes anew". If he used two of Scrooges feathers, it would just make another Scrooge. As far as May and June, they were made from Webby's feathers as per the document that Webby found/read in the archives.

Speaking of May and June, I kind of agree with what's been said already which is it sucks they didn't leave breadcrumbs for May and June in previous episodes, however I can understand why. People already had apparently figured out that Webby was April some time ago when the characters were leaked and there was a voice cast list for May and June, but not April. They may have gotten around this by introducing them early on under a different name having May and June switch off and assume the personality of one character which would have been a better payoff. The only downside is this would just end up as Lena 2.0 more so than it already was, and better to just have it at the end of the season since this was Bradfords backup plan.
