LN/manga readers on reddit were saying that the reason for not just giving him the knife and letting go ham had to do with how the level system works. Hestia needs to straddle KiritoBell and convert his exp into stats. She was away for several days so Bell still had the same scrub stats from middle of ep 2. So the whole running around town thing was supposedly to find time for her to do that.

I don't doubt leveling him up hurt. Her whole "600 attribute points!" or whatever line kinda makes it sound like a lot, but I'm also going to relate to the confusion of some in how this is like an MMO but not. Hopefully the show will better elaborate things. I guess, "The gods came down to earth to fuck with people..." aspect can work, but it also doesn't quite make sense why they'd be denied general use of their powers.

Still don't really like Hestia, though. I'm just kinda big on not hiding important things from those you care for like the growth stat Bell has going for him. And of the few gods they've portrayed so far, I feel like Hephaestus' familia is probably the most sensible of the lot.

I figured this might've been the case at the end, but even if it were so she could've told him ages before they split up, then they could've leveled up in that tunnel. I'm not even overthinking it I was yelling at the TV for them bitches to get moving.

Just didn't really do much to add tension and was more annoying than anything.

Not like many anime, have characters that actually put some sort of thought into anything they do!

Sort of like real life, some people can't make a decision when theirs some situation going on and just stand there like a deer before an oncoming car and just derp

I mean I'm not going to use actual logic because actual logic would dictate that the big titty midget tell him and update his status during the time they were fucking around before the breakout. Or as the breakout happened? Or after getting to the sewers? Or after hiding etc etc.

I mean if being panicked is an issue they can't remember their sole reason for doing what they're doing then they could at least... I dunno display that? Having to assume that was the case is just letting the anime off easy for being annoying, when you can rational away some pretty annoying events.

They were bored in heaven and came down to play. Giving up their divine powers was the cost for them to be able to come down to the human world. I don't remember if the anime explained that properly. As for the powering up being "MMO-like", besides levels they're really all vague enough terms that they'd have been used naturally in a world without games. Just think that the plot has absolutely nothing to do with MMOs, but rather that the vocabulary came naturally as the world grew.

Kind of makes sense, they probably got bored doing god things for a few hundred thousand years.. millions? billions ? Becoming mortals to experience things as humans would be a interesting experience/pass time. Although this brings the question... what prevents a god from becoming "god like" once again and using their power to save themselves in such a situation as earlier in the show if she's about to be attacked/killed?

Maybe they can't because of something more...? /canonlyguess

Maybe a gods power is tied to how strong their familia are or something...

Not strictly spring, but Crunchyroll will be streaming Time of Eve - The Movie from Friday to Sunday this week.
I haven't watched it yet, but it seems to be an improved version of the series with a few additional scenes, so it should be worth watching even if you know the series.

There's no note about it being for premium-users only, as opposed to the series, but if you'd like to watch it in high quality, you can use a premium guest pass:

This series is really, really good. I remember season 1 pretty vaguely but watching the episodes of season 2 make me want to go back and re-watch them. The characters are just really interesting and compelling.

Hikigaya being "the knight they need, but not the one they deserve", constantly sacrificing himself for the greater good, just so compelling to watch mainly for the affect it has on the people around him who know what the actual circumstances are.

Yeah, I recently binge watched season 1 for the first time and while I did like it, season 2 is starting really good and I enjoy it a lot

It's based off a light novel series right? And there's a new studio doing it as well. I want to say a lot of credit can go to the new studio but I can't really confirm or deny that. But the animation itself is a heck of a lot better at least

Yeah first season sort of was just building up to what season 2 would be all about. Really builds up character and makes you sort of feel for them, especially for Yui in the recent episode and her..
    Spoiler: show
deceleration of love for him and wanting to fight yukino for his affection affection, although atm he still seems oblivious sort of, and or doesn't know what to do since he's used to being hated by everyone not actually loved. Also in b4 someone is even more confused I'm watching something without ecchi/hentai related material

Yahari is great. After season one I started reading the LN from V7. I've been meaning to go back and read the previous volumes since they're translated now. Definitely a deep show. I recommend reading the LN, especially if you've already watched s1. I've haven't gotten around to watching s2 episodes yet, but based on what I've seen people say-- the cafe scene with Orimoto was even better (or should I say worse?) in the LN.

Isshiki Iroha is best girl. After v10.5 this is fact. <3

    Spoiler: show
    Sensei is best women.

Only one day left until Ace of the Diamond's second season starts (for real). I'm giddy.

World Trigger: last episode had 24 seconds worth of useless screaming. . . hilariously funny though.

How many episodes are expected for this season?

    Ore Monogatari!!!! 04

If you're not a fan of the series after this episode, then there is no hope for you what so ever. Brilliantly charming, and I'm super happy/impressed they animated it as nicely as they did too

Was both surprised and pleased by the pace after the third episode and was wondering where they would take it from there. Not disappointed in the slightest, Takeo is a beast. THAT's how I want my male MC's!
