DanMachi's manga is an adaptation of the Light Novel. We're most likely going to cover the first three volumes of the light novel, in other words the final episode will be that fight.

Chapter 30ish of the manga should be somewhere near the end of the second volume of the light novel. The manga probably hasn't even covered that fight yet.

It should be gud. The first four translated volumes of the LN can be found on nyaa if you're interested in reading ahead. I'd recommend reading the Sword Oratoria manga after v3 of v4 if you decide to do that.

Nagato Yuki-chan no Shoushitsu Episode 003

When Haruhi starts listing all the types of people she wants to gather (Alien, esper, time traveler) she also mentions wanting to find someone who's from a parallel universe. As much as I like this show, which isn't a lot at the moment to be honest, part of me really really hopes that it'll somehow be some kind of massive troll job and actually be connected to the original series in some way other than being a spin-off

This episode was a lot better but that's probably due to a massive injection of Haruhi. And as much as I hope for the above to happen, I can't help but think what we're gonna get instead is more of shy, timid Yuki being shy and timid and anxious and upset that she isn't as out going and blah blah. At least Alien/cyborg Yuki wasn't as meek and did badass shit like rock the guitar and manipulate space and time and etc

I'd guess that most of the hate would stem from her being everywhere right now, which usually leaves people wondering why that particular character gets so much attention.
Don't see anything wrong with the character itself, though; someone's always bound to be the most popular one.

I'm officially mad at DanMachi after this episode. They've changed a core mechanic of the way the world operates and I don't like it as it detracts from the battle strategy, detracts from an adventurer type, and detracts from a character. Not really a spoiler but I'll put it in one anyway, since it talks about the role of supporters.

In the LN, when you kill a monster its dead body is left behind as a corpse. Assuming you're alone, you have to spend the time to carve out the magic crystal. Once you remove the magic crystal the monster's body disintegrates. This means that you can't just run and gun in the dungeon. For example, if you kite a group of mobs to draw them into one on one battle, after you're done you have to back track to get their magic crystals. (Pretty sure they skipped that battle of Bells in the anime by now.) Removing the crystal takes effort, because you don't want to damage it, and thus you can't just quickly grab it while running around.

This is why supporters are useful. They go around the battlefield holding items and carving up the monsters to collect the magic crystals while you're in the middle of fighting. With the way the anime decided that killed monsters just simply disintegrate and drop their crystal, their primary purpose is removed. It damn near ruins the entire class!

Additionally, there's the tactic where you aim for a critical strike by attacking the monster's magic crystal directly. Destroying or heavily damaging the crystal in return for finishing off the enemy more easily or more quickly. This is what Bell used to take down the Silverback Gorilla. That monster was still too strong for him to finish off normally, so he risked it on a critical instant kill hit. But then they made the mob drop a well-intact crystal anyway.

It's all wrong!

Her character is going to come off as a total cunt now, since all she does is pick stuff off the ground and hide. At least with having to harvest bodies mid combat she was actually doing something skillful. This ruins almost her entire character to me. ; ;

Honestly this episode (and the end of the last) annoyed me for other reasons. The first of which would be Hestia waiting for basically 10 minutes before telling Bell "Hey, guess what I got this knife and it's awesome go kill that fk'n monkey." Instead they run around for ages, despair and comfort each other all the while I can't help but think this is just being dragged out for the sake of dragging it out.

Yeah I know these guys care for each other and all that shit GIVE HIM THE FUCKING KNIFE YOU BIG BOOBED MIDGET.

God I really pissed until the end of the episode, then the nice animation and fight scene calmed me down. Thank goodness, but fuck this pacing.

Also, since I just picked this up yesterday and I still feel confused - is this basically a game-like world but not really a game? As in people die and don't respawn and stuff?

It's a fantasy world. Gods came down and did things. The God is a seasoned DM so all the gods like to use game terms and they just kind of stuck. (lol)
