FFXI Nostalgia/Why did I ever stop playing!?/Let's all go back to 2009/Never forget Kujata Thread

First real day of playing yesterday since 2009. My home point was in Port Bastok so the first thing I did was went through my items. My mog locker was locked and I couldn't for the life of me remember how to get to Whitegate. I actually /yell how to get to whitegate and everyone said to take the boat lol. Finally got a tell from someone reminding me of the warp taru in Bastok that takes you straight to whitegate, so that was a great 30 minute experience.

After that we followed the 1-119 guide on the bg wiki. Started with unlocking trust magic. After that we spent another 30min unlocking the raptor mount. Getting my gf's level 30 character to Jeuno was a chunk of time. For some reason we used the maw outside san d'oria, then teleport to batallia downs[s], then walked to jeuno from there. Holy crap having a called mount is huge. Instant time savings from that.

Finally we spent our last hour+ hunting gd bees for RoV quest. Pollen on the AH was 30k each and I don't really know the value of gil these days. 3 bees per sq mile in La Thiene. Went to konschtat and farmed the 9 pollen we needed just before bed time.

I'm having to farm in the canyon from mandies and it's been a pain in the ass so far. Granted I haven't leveled Thief to 15 yet, but only one of the item needed in a little over an hour. I'm working on nation missions to get rank 3 and unlock more trusts. Having an absolute blast. Hearing POL music and in game music too is in a way soothing to me. Not sure why but it makes me happy and I'm glad I started again.

Honestly even as a 119 thf in full th gear 1 shotting mobs while proccing th shit can be pretty maddening. Given how easy gil is I'd just buy some of the item and if at possible wait on choosing which path till you see which item is on the ah

I'll try again. Just haven't had time. Not getting my hopes up though. The guy by name through chat that helped me retrieve my SE account info was the second person I tried with chat to get the ban removed. Dude literally lol'd at me. Should've SS that shit lol.

I honestly don't remember. Not salvage for sure. The first person said it was due to something about an attempted account change and they fixed it and to wait thirty minutes before logging in. LM-31 was still there so I chatted again. Guy said it was due to possibly RMT. I never had any copious amounts of gil on that character and I am being 100% candid where I can't recall doing anything.

In the official notice they send you for the ban it should give a vague clue what it is about but yeah you probably don't have that.

Oh don't think having lots of gil means a thing. I had an account banned for "rmting". This account literally never did anything with anyone except my main account. All gil it got went to main account. Never had that much on it anyways cause wasn't making money that fast and would never keep more than like 10 mil on it. I tried explaining how literally the only character to get any gil from this one was my main that had the same address and credit card number and for awhile they said it was getting reversed... then after a few months of no message talked to them again and they said naw that's never gunna happen other guy lied and they have iron clad proof I was rmt that I 100% know couldn't even come close to existing

Are relic weapons useful anymore?

Once they get upgraded, sure. If you've got a level 75 relic from when you played in 2008 though, you'll have a ways to go before it's viable again.

I know I upgraded it to maybe 85 or 90 back in 2012ish...I'm tempted to see if I have my little login piece thing but I have no idea where it would be as I've moved twice

Getting to 99 is fine...it's upgrading to 119 that's ball-busting hard. 250 umbral marrows for the 2nd lv99 upgrade? fuck right off.

250 umbral marrows are only if you want the afterglow. You can skip it if you don't want it.
