Just finished anime and now doing the manga.

The ONE version (simple drawn) seems long at over 100 chapters (based on mangatraders site)... or are they quite short? I want to start on the Murata (I think I spelt it right) one as soon as possible, but someone in this thread advises the ONE first.

Also, reading up on it randomly online, it seems Pri-Pri-Prisoner gets a lot of hate? I found this guy hilarious, especially his move names. Anyone else hates him here? No homo or anything but seeing him almost nude didn't really phase me, or are people that bothered lol

The scene where he looked at the newspaper and him being affected shows a little bit of inner depth to his character. I additionally like how he makes both the heroes and villains uncomfortable.

Also the way the aliens died on ep12 was a shame, I was half thinking they may be taken hostage or interrogation, and they seemed rather harmless. Can't wait to find out more about the blue hair guy as soon as possible via manga.

Puri Puri Purisona is hilarious, if not also a one-dimensional, over-the-top homosexual archetype. You've seen it before with Charlotte in Bleach: a fabulous explosion of muscle and glitter.

Love the wordplay with the name though. Someone ask Gulk sometime about the onomatopoeic association "puri" has with sodomy.
I'm sure he has a 5 page diatribe about it and how it relates to the abundance of anal-specific Prishe hentai.

I'd go straight to the Murata version. You're not missing much (if anything) from the ONE version. When you're caught up you can read ahead with ONE. And by reading Murata's version first, you get to see essentially animated panels like these-
