It seems kind of like a lose-lose situation. If it does poorly, it's not like they will think, "oh, maybe if the original studio handles the animation, it will do well again!" they'd just cancel it. And if it does do well, they will just keep going with the cheaper animation studio option.

edit: I haven't watched it yet though, so I'm not really sure how bad it is. Will probably just marathon it once the season ends.

Animators care about their craft and what's shown. Producers care about getting jobs done on time and making profit for their masters.

These things can sometimes align, but when they do not, you end up with season 2.

Pacing is completely out of whack and feels strange, but since Fubuki is present I'm willing to forgive it. Animation is again shoddy but for me at this point it's like a minor animated manga lol

Garo's voice doesn't fit him I feel. Dunno, maybe reading the later chapters of him becoming increasingly monster-ish made me think he should have a different voice.

I didn't expect Tatsumaki to be THAT much stronger than Eye-Boss, but it was still enjoyable to watch. It seems like all the S-Class fighters have been pretty far ahead of the cadre-tier monsters.

Super hyped for next fight.
