God the build up to yet another one punch moment has not gotten old in this series. Dude has had the same MO since the series started and this was infinitely more entertaining than the majority of side characters they've been showing off for over a year.

Shorter fight than expected for the main boss (I know the real fight is coming with Garou), but still visually satisfying and I like that the author is making fun of itself in a way. Expected more of a power display of the main monster boss though. Child emperor blasted a hole into space during his fight. Main monster boss gets one energy wave that shakes the ground and makes a tunnel...?

Seems like this main monster boss would be weaker than the Dominator of the Universe.

Well it's been so long that you might have forgotten, but we got the actual monster king fight with Garou. This was honestly just the conclusion to that more than anything. Too bad it happened like a year after that fight lol.

He wasn't that strong in the Garou fight either. Spat some fire, poked some things. We got like 4 chapters just on Phoenix Man, and just a couple chapters on main boss (spread out a year), without any real impressive power display?

Edit: Not bitching here. The drawing was top notch and we knew what the result of the battle was going to be. Don't want to come off as just complaining about the product. Just did expect a bit more from the head of the monster association.

Oh no, you are absolutely correct in saying we got a shitton of side character time compared to the main event lol. I was bitching about it 6 months when we were getting side bitch after side bitch meanwhile saitama was already in the sewer lonely as fuck.

Yeah, I expected AT LEAST Boros level fight. He didn't even bust out a serious punch. Boros took a shit-ton of normal punches and kept coming.

I loved how Saitama said he’s tired of everyone monologuing about their final/ultimate/king whatever form lmao.

The artwork was amazing. Too bad we’ll probably still be stuck with shitty quality anime productions when it reaches that point.

By "main monster boss" I'm going to take it you mean Rover, because he's the only one of these fuckers to walk away from a Saitama punch so far.

Hell, he's the only one of these fuckers to not get disintegrated by a Saitama punch since Boros. Let's hope Garou and Monster SoS-Sonic add to the list.

I took that more to mean that Saitama just lightly slapped him down (because he's just a bad puppy to Saitama). Kind of like when Saitama slapped / toy hit other characters that lived (Garao, Ninja dude, etc). No doubt Rover would have been disintegrated with a normal punch from Saitama.
