I hate the fact we've not moved, but I do love the irony King represents.
Mistakened for Badass is a favourite trope of mine.
Through rankings, I believe king was 8, how do people still think he's #1 (2)? I guess the mobs don't think by that, but rather King's "accomplishments"
He's only ranked 8th or whatever because they rank based on volume of accomplishments and not simply the most impressive feats. Everyone still regards him as the strongest, he just hasn't done enough to overtake the more senior S ranks.

Ngl, that was dope.
Satan is a billionaire grifter coward loser who had to spend the latter part of his career buying victories to manufacture relevance and allowed his only daughter to marry into the most dangerous family in the universe out of personal fear. The Cell Games announcer could've easily thrown Sixteen's head at Gohan, and the people of earth were definitely about to turn everything around and give Goku the energy he needed to spirit bomb Buu. Don't buy into the phony hype, all his successes have been lies. He will take that shame to his grave.
Adversely, King is a great hero who has never backed down from a real fight, earned the highest respect of his peers, and always steps up to do his part when push comes to shove. The King Engine is indomitable, a real threat feared by all monsters. It's more than a passive luck trait, it wins fights. Fuck, it's about to win this fight. He's also the only character in the universe to have legitimately beaten Saitama at anything.
Satan is gutter trash compared to King. How dare you.
Fuck man I forgot this Manga existed, so happy to see a new chapter finally, and it was real cool too. I mean, personally praying Saitama shows up next chapter but dang, I love Kings ability to just make everyone around him quiver in fear even though they know nothing of him other than his reputation.
Satan was also the reason Fat Buu turned good, and assisted in the fight later.
Yeah, shitty hot take. Satan helped them save the world on at least two occasion, and absolutely stalled Fat Buu from rampaging and destroying the planet while the kids were off fucking around.
It's ok, I didn't exactly define what I mean when I drew the correlation between them. So specifically, I just enjoy the comedy of the misunderstand and coincidences which throws the villains off their game. So in King's case, we saw it greatly in effect this chapter. In Satan's case, it's his luck and/or coincidences that allows him to overcome whatever is needed, especially during the encounters with Kid Buu.
Satan stalling and actually containing Fat Buu actually saved the world. But the evil is reignited when the 2 dudes killed his dog. Even Goku and Piccolo in separate scenes gives him that respect. Goku at the end when Vegeta tries to off Fat Buu, and I believe Piccolo explained his reasoning to Videl in one of the episodes when they were up at the lookout.
But yeah, if anyone here enjoyed the comedy surrounding King for this chapter, I highly recommend the manga https://myanimelist.net/manga/838/Angel_Densetsu (this is by the same author who wrote Claymore, this was this work before it. So one of the female MCs looks basically like Claire if anyone has read that) because it absolutely reminds me of the main character in this manga, and throughout most of the manga, barring Volume 14 if I remember correctly (which went off on a tangent, before the author snapped out of it and ended it at Volume 15) the entire manga runs on this joke.
You damn weebs need to get this weeb shit out of my weeb thread man!
Yikes, I was trolling; I guess I didn't go big enough. Both characters are great, geez.
Ahhh I did think it was somewhat of a valid argument though haha! I did sort of detect the troll but I wasn't sure. But all good fun really.
Yeah, I missed it as well.
Some people out there legitimately aren't in on the joke with Satan, and despise him. Any issues I have with him are simply extended over to Toriyama, who injected too much of his gag manga love into the final arc of the original Z arc, but I can't blame Satan for that. Dude is hilarious.
Is it just me or has there been a ton of panels that seem to focus in on the moon “looking down” on all these fights? Feels like there’s been at least one every chapter with a weird emphasis on it.
The return of Boros??? :D
