It was great that they brought the 2 methane stoner kids back from earlier episodes.

Carter was interviewed about the Manners and Hardy graves, and said something along the lines of this episodes was written for them and it's about to get a whole lot more serious. I remember seeing the original mix between mythology/MOTW when this was brought back was quoted as 60/40, so the last 3 episodes being mythology and setting up another season or one last movie seems like a pretty good conclusion.

I'll be (happily) surprised if they go back to purity control, since they really kind of abandoned it entirely in favor of William and the super soldier project. But with the flashbacks to William in the earlier episodes, it will be interesting to see where they're going with this. Possibly full circle with the reveal that Scully was indeed a test of said program?

I really do expect the waning moments of episode 6 to be a re-affirmation between Mulder + Scully that aliens are real and both resolve to keep working to set up another season or final movie.

When are we getting Dogget and Reyes?

Mulders father being killed, him visiting the navajo, Scully's sister's murder, and more than a few moments between both families, including Tina Mulder.

Just very strong writing and acting all around.

I really need to go back and rewatch the old seasons. I saw bits and pieces in their original airings and in syndication but never I've never really seen the whole thing. Loving the reboot so far!

Eh, a lot of episodes don't hold up well. At some point you go "look bitch, you literally held a frozen alien baby in your hands and you're still doubting there's some alien conspiracy going on?"

So many episodes/cases would be solved or even avoided if Scully just remembered what happened in season 1/2. It gets quite frustrating when binge watching the show. If you were watching it once a week like when it was on air it might not be as bad.
