I've got 5/5 GEO AF3 set now and did some initial Set Bonus testing with various high MP cost Indi spells

Set bonus looks to be ~25% proc rate. Out of 40 casts, got 10 procs. I did do a total of 50 casts, and after I hit 10 procs out of 40 casts (exact 25% proc rate) I had 2 more procs in the final 10 casts. Total of 12 procs out of 50 casts.

That seems like a high proc rate for an empy set bonus, at least compared to the older jobs. Now i'm curious if they all have the same set bonus or if its further enhanced as well.

It's just an initial test, and I only tested it 50 times (varying high cost Indi spells) Maybe I just got lucky? Who knows. Once other GEOs get the full set, they can do their own testing to verify or disprove my findings. I'm just reporting what I had gotten.

anything below 20% proc rate makes the set barely usefull to use for geo-spells ¬.¬ tbh, the set bonus is so disapointing, i was hopeing for something more offensiv, may it be for buffs or for nukeing on geo

THF pants and boots are terribad but the other three pieces are good. RNG set is awesome in all slots but still lol at haste on a RNG set.

It's not RDM only. Just went out as BLM and cast poison 1 on a level 0 mob (they have ~33 HP). The mob died in a single tick.

If it applies to Mandau and Mandau's poison is at least tier II it might actually make the added poison effect useful.

Probably to make up for the relatively weak effect compared to other empy. A lot of the others would've been kind of crazy at those rates. Like brds was before they changed it. Could you imagine a 25% proc rate on pld lol

So I could have sword i read somewhere someone said they got a drop from vagary and it allowed them to see 119 feet options. But now i cant find it anywhere. I thought it was this thread but Ive read through it a few times and nothing. Was wondering why they didnt give a us a hint at the 119 recipies. Think it was one of the Plovid items.

Barely worth mentioning, but I noticed the use time on the Capacity Ring went from 15 seconds to 5. Useful for me, since I always equip it, do something to trigger GS, and forgot I was waiting to burn a charge, and have to wait 15 more seconds.

Yes the exp/cap point rings all have different times on them as it said in the update notes. does anyone read them?

It also said it upped the amounts and durations too. Think CP ring is like 30k now

Pretty sure thf boots are BiS for TH based farming, no?

Only need 109/119 empy boots + 118 relic hands to have capped TH on thief now. No ring/dagger/belt needed, just boots/feet.

Furthermore, unlike every other TH piece, relic hands and now empy feet let us hit TH8 without sacrificing much in terms of vital stats. I mean taeon boots can have DW+9 on it, so we lose that, but most TH8 builds require using empy+2 feet anyways

Theres not much gained by going from 109->119 on empy feet for thf (going from TH+2->TH+3 on boots does jack shit, TH+2 is enough), but the extra stat vomit is good.

All together: THF boots and DNC body look like hands down the first empy pieces Im reforging compared to everything else. Being able to hit TH8 on thf with only 2 pieces of gear is pretty sick, and DW+11 on dnc 119 body is also pretty sick.

The set bonuses do not work between sets (so you can't mix and match from 99 and 109), and at 109 at least, have the exact same potency.

So, if your job uses the set bonus heavily, you might want to hold off on upgrading until you can upgrade all or most of them in a row.

Just noticed that the new awesome /lockstyleset command works for stuff that's not currently in your active inventory (locker, safe, storage etc) but it does NOT work for stuff in your mog slips.

Pull the things out, put them in your equip set, then store them again.

Already tried that, the second you put gear back into mog slip and then zone, those sets stop working
