    Third message (+pop) - 9:23:19

    Killed him and moved on to clear the rest of the zone. It looked like the pop was triggered by Kasha -> Shoha -> Fudo (double light), but the guy who did it noted that he didn't think it killed the monster (left it at 1%). We were fighting Wind elementals at the time, and had been double lighting since the Ice elementals.

    Also, killing the NM before the hybrid elemental crowd (sleep them or just clean pull the NM, they don't link to it) dramatically sped up those kills. 40k MB on Umbril, no problem, and the pixie took crazy physical damage.

    Yeah, someone died just prior to warp. If that's the case that's just fucking........stupid.

    Yeah there you have your answer. We just put PLD on it and use mages and stuff to be safe. Another shout group fought boss for 17 minutes total apparently before it actually got bored and warped without deaths.

    Now, if the boss killed a BST pet or an Avatar, would that count as a "kill" and a warp out as well?

    We popped ours in Duskbrood, btw. We did another chamber first (Duskborn - or whatever the undead one is called) but couldn't get the second message.

    It annoys me, but it's entirely possible that the packet for the message was dropped and we just wasted a run attempting to proc something that had already procced.

    Have your mages spin the t1 elemental wheel on Perfidien, you will get a weakness message which seems to greatly reduce his defensive/evasive stats. How it actually works I'm not sure, but I've successfully proc'd it a few times now by casting freely.

    After we got the message indicating an element, I did a 20k+ MB of the indicated element.

    Tier 4 boss dropped 3x Tartarian Chain, 1x Tartarian Soul, and Etiolation Earring.

    As as pointed out before, Hades1 is popped 100% of the time by just performing a double light(and maybe dark?) skillchain that DOESN'T kill the monster. Soboro is really handy for this is you're using a SAM.


    Tried a whole bunch of different things tonight for the second message for Hades2, but no luck with anything.

    Tried the following things:

    MB kills off double dark/light skillchain.
    SC killshots.
    Multiple MBs on the same mob on many mobs to see if it was just total MBs used that didn't kill the mob.
    Melee killshots.
    WS killshots.
    Elemental WS killshots.

    There could be the off chance that something has to happen to you instead of the monster, maybe like dying an x amount of times

    Full clearing all NMs after first upgrade isn't out of the realm of possibility either, though I can rule out killing umbril and pixie after first upgrade, unless they need to be MB killshot'd.

    I'm very confused about this. My group did many double light sc where the monster was not killed and we ran out of time with server maint with ultimately no Hades.

    What weaponskills were you using and on what mob? All I can say is once we started using Soboro for making the skillchains, we've been popping it 100% on the first double light. The skillchain we use is Fudo>Kasha(makes fusion)>Shoha(makes light1)>Fudo(makes light2).

    When we tried we could only get it to pop with fudo>kasha>shoha>fudo.

    only thing to note really is that when we were doing a 3 step double light it did not pop.
    it was not until the 4 step was used that it appeared for our group.

    It seems to me that the steps used to get that light or double light seem to matter . It seemed like it might have poped before fudo even went off for the second light.

    Maybe the type of skillchain doesn't matter per se but something like number of skillchain points on a single mob? Which is set high enough where it's hard to do without killing it unless you do a 4+ step double lvl 3

    feel free to ignore since i'm not actually playing, but with ardor's intended mechanic of raising skillchain damage and the nerf to rudra's storm, maybe it is a damage threshold from skillchains only (excluding the contributing weaponskill's damage), which could be why soboro is working so well for eijin's group too.

    I'm confused by Eijin's usage of "Hades1" and "Hades2".
    What do you mean? I only reasd about "Perfidian" secret boss, which requires 3 conditions, the third of which has been polished and nailed down to only need one double SC not killing the target.
