I can also confirm that if you hit Perfidien with a nuke he absorbs. the Encumbrance penalty for the alliance is directly proportional to how much you healed. 7.7k heal gave over 2 minutes of encumbrance.

Happen to have any pics of the chat/dialogue of the fight, or drops?
My speculation based on observed mechanics:
Meet the stage 1 and 2 requirements for Perfidien and Plouton.
Meet the requirement for fighting Perfidien.
Kill Perfidien.
Plouton will probably spawn after Perfidien's death.
If not, then potentially after zone boss is defeated.
Maybe you need a specific killshot type on perfidien?
To follow the doubling theme for Hades2 (5 Magic Kills on Perfiden >> 10, 3 step SC >> 6), has anyone tried MBing two mobs approximately at the same time ( 5 times, or 10 times)?
Or you know kill Perfidien with a SC and MB of element he is weak to at that time.
Obviously you need the false king on stage 2 first.
I just noticed after you pointed it out.../shamefulderps
I believe we can all agree that this poster is merely looking for attention and that addressing his/her claims further is futile.
That being said, we have tried the following, for Hades2, this morning to no avail:
Alternating Dark/Light in the following orders, same monster:
1) D>L>D>L>D>L>D>L>D>L
2) L>D>L>D>L>D>L>D>L>D>L>D>L
3) D>D>D>L>L>L
4) L>L>L>D>D>D
5) D>D>D>D>D>L>L>L>L>L
We have also tried killing with DoT, specifically Pyrohelix and Hydrohelix, a total of 12 times with no success.
@Loire:
It does not appear that completing one objective while also making progress towards another resets the incomplete objective. At least, this does not appear to be the case for Magic and Magic Burst kills for the Hades1 upgrade conditions.
We were able to do the following:
1) 4 MB kills
2) 1 strictly magic kill -> upgrade1
3) 1 MB kill -> upgrade2
Also, last night we started strictly with MB kills at the start and I received the upgrade2 (deeper shade of black) on the 5th kill. The first upgrade message did not appear at all. You can simultaneously complete these two objectives and speed up your Hades1 clear times.
However, we have not yet tested whether or not the Skillchain-related upgrade can reset the magic kill objective.
If it does not reset then 10 is not an absolute value. We magic killed all the fire eles with water before Loire finished his 6 step skillchain. The first ice ele killed with fire did not give us the message. We had to kill the remainder of the room of ice eles and one earth elemental before we got the 2nd message. There is some concern that one shotting does not count and we did have one or two eles that got one shotted by simultaneous nukes but we had to magic kill 17 eles to get the message. Loire thought it was most likely that the 6 step reset things.
We got it on the 10th magic kill our first attempt in 132. It could be random I guess. I also think there might be a minimum amount of damage the nuke has to do. When we tested magic bursting both steps of a 3 step skill chain and multiple magic bursts on the same skillchain we usually killed the ele with a tier 1 nuke and we never got the message even though we killed everything up to the umbril.
I'm now looking into Magic Burst damage as a requirement for that upgrade as well. I went in with just my characters (SAM+WHM+GEO) and killed in the following order:
Fire Elemental:
1) Melee Kill
2) Melee Kill
3) Melee Kill
4) Melee Kill
5) MB kill
6) Melee Kill
Earth Elemental:
7) Melee Kill
8) MB Kill
9) MB Kill
10) MB Kill
11) MB Kill -------> Upgrade1
12) MB Kill
13) MB Kill
14) MB Kill -------> Upgrade2
I expected the 11th kill to give me both upgrades, but it did not. My GEO mule has a relatively gimp nuke set and when I totaled her magic burst damage up to the final kill it was 125027 (roughly 16k/nuke excluding a 12k on the fire elemental due to no Indi-Focus). This makes me think there is a magic burst damage requirement or there is something else in play I have not yet considered.
Maybe both Perfidien and the zone boss have to be killed a certain way? I'm definitely thinking zone boss has to at least be dead. It would be weird to beat the final boss then go back to the run.
You know what would be really funny... is if the requirement was after fulfilling all the rest and basically owning the zone to then full wipe
the requirements seem to be things a pletora/combination of multiple jobs can do together. MBs can be done by 1/4 of the cast, multi SCs can be done by taging 3-4 melee jobs (doesnt have to be sam only) together etc.
as someone suggested killing with piercing/blunt/slashing might be a possibility (if allready debunked).
or haveing a plethora/number of debuffs on mobs.
I doubt its anything very job specific.
Have you tried zooming into the text and spamming job abilities when it readies a tp move?
