We just popped Hades but timed out with him at 40% hp ;;; bye bye KI ;;

Valuable information though:
Upgrading from stage 2 -> 3 :: We got upgraded when we asked blms to stop trying to MB kill with fire and instead had all whms and /whms MB with holy and banish I, so i think its safe to say to clear stage 2 requirements its not about how much MB damage you do but how many people that MBs the light skillchain or something like that.

Tried doing the same thing now... and #!#"!# just wouldnt upgrade....

We got stage 1 done after 10 or so elemental magic kills.

Stage 2 we spend 20 minutes trying to nuke with high dmg and nuking with lots of small damage magic bursts like banish etc. that got us upgrade on last run but it just wouldnt upgrade from stage 2 to 3 this time...... we exited with 15 min left on clock...

We did everthing exacly the same as first time...

Someone in LS said it might be like VNM upgrades in abyssea ... you might get lucky and get upgrade on 1st kill or on 20th kill... im inclined to think he is right.

2chan going bonkers now with the idea of step2 actually being Mcrit MB. I guess it could be possible to have random people with Mcrit Helios accidently trigger those in a full ally spamming MBs...

More specifically could you please detail exactly what you did for step2. Did you MB light or dark? Did you have your mages only disable their weapon and still nuke in MAB/Macc gear or just have everyone that was nuking naked? Did you nuke only tier1 or higher tiers? Did you melee/MB/magic killshot the elementals when they were low HP? Based on your time remaining, you popped it really fast, so I assume it didn't take you 15+ eles to get the MB related upgrade, so how many did it take for upgrade?

Congrats on the kill. Any idea on the steps to get it to pop though. Others before still seem a bit confused on how it popped themselves. Any additional info to rule out some of these extensive theories would be helpful.

Not only does Perfiden warp if someone dies against him, you won't get the upgrade messages to pop him if someone has died prior to getting them.

Also, to get 130 access, you specifically need all three 128 wins. I have 128 wins in Fomor and Leech chambers, and 130 win in Elemental, but I can't upgrade my key item to 130.

Tbf we are as well. We tried so many things, and what doesn't seem to work MULTIPLE times on several runs, works on first time on the next.
Also on that time it popped several things at the same time happened, it's kinda hard to tell which is the real condition... we're trying to sort the confusion out atm, lots of discussions and theory.
Sorry bout this, just saying atm we're not really sure.

Geomancer in the JP version is basically called "Wind Water Earth" guy.

feng shui also deals with the positioning of objects. which relates to how GEO positions himself relative to enemies and whatnot.

Can you confirm what spells and SCs were used? and if it was a MB kill that pop'd it?

What we did was a multistep light SC with a large amount of light MBs. But I don't know if the SC procced the pop or the MB. Someone says it popped before the MB, it's hard to tell.
We did the same exact thing many other times but it never worked in previous run, so meh, I dunno really

I'm not buying the 6 steps SC requirement. Too steep if you ask me, and 90% of the times stuff doesn't even survive the second light even if you use level 1 weapons.
Do you see SE requiring people to use level 1 weapons, Obis, weather to reduce SC damage and all the rest?
I don't.
It's something else imho, but that's just me of course and I'm a dumb galka so don't mind me I guess

Sounds good, thank you. I'm not surprised at the confusion/mixed details due to the lack of progression given for the upgrades. If we got a message after a specific action, that would help tremendously, but unfortunately we have to wait to do some mystery action X number of times before we find out if we did something right or not. But as Uni said before me, just giving the elementals you were targeting and the spell combinations and sc's etc would be extremely helpful. Thanks so much for any extra notes in the future, much appreciated.

Ok thank you very much we've been doing this all day And No luck, But at least we know light SC/MB is the right direction now. Will keep trying. Only difference is we were doing tier 1 spams for quantity of MB instead of higher nukes as you said, will keep trying it out.
