Deathborne is all pretty melee friendly, you can do it with one DD party + pld. Imagine BSTs can do the same, but slower.

Correcting what I said earlier. I rewatched the video and he did not have his auras up when he wiped our frontline. Also, the backline was killed by a conal basic attack for 7.5k+ (varying by person). Anyone else seen this? Makes no sense to me.
Also, he seemed to gain his first aura when our thief re-engaged him with a bolt after the wipe to kite him (wind aura).
Drop list on the wiki looks about 99% complete, seems every boss has four gear drops along with the 119 Emp and Synth items. Just missing one item for Putraxia it seems.
Edit: only item I can think goes there is Crusher's Gauntlets, can anyone comfirm?
confirm
Putraxia :
Aura warns about what will be the next TP move, Shrieking Gale (windy aura on his right arms) or Undulating Shockwave (electric aura on his left arms), it can't use these attacks without the corresponding aura which disappears once the TP move is used.
I believe that curing him with elemental attacks may trigger his "berserk mode". When this happens, all his magic attacks will do massive damage (8k Tornado II, 35k Undulating Shockwave...) for a short period.
Plouton :
Below 50%, a "dust cloud animation" occurs right after Tenebrous Grip then Plouton becomes very resistant against two weapon damage types and weak against one (double damage), just like Calydontis.
We will test this by having PLD use Slashing and Blunt to WS and have the THF do the double damage if its piercing and this might lead to a new proc for better body drops so we hope we can get this to be confirmed soon and to also note that we have been having a DNC do 5 step and a THF to end the 6th step to pop Plouton the past few runs instead of a SAM and its been working. For nuke procs on Plouton i'm wondering if anyone notices him using a move like he does with Tenebrous Grip before changing his elemental weakness? (Plouton gets his wings when he uses Tenebrous Grip)
0/51 on Tartarus Platemail now. Hopefully one day it will drop for us. SE really needs to increase drop rate on it.
I just wish SE could plan their items more coherently.
What's the purpose of giving such powerful tanking items to non tanking jobs (and leave some tanking jobs outside instead) when all your latest actions try to make it clear that you want tanks to be tanking and not DDs?
The access to such powerful and wide arrange of PDT/DT/MDT items to non tanks is one of the reasons (granted not the main one, probably) why Tanks have been useless for such a long time in so many parts of the game.
Giving all classes/jobs gear to mitigate damage is one thing and I'm all for it, but more often than not they went way across that simple threshold.
What's the Magic Burst Damage cap once more?
How does Sengikori's 25% magic burst damage bonus fit into this cap? Inside or outside of it? I'd be leaning for the latter on a hunch, but has anybody tested it?
I'm almost certain he can't have both auras at the same time.
Unfortunately, he can.
Spoiler: show
Can definitely have both up at the same time.
It decided to go super rage mode and chain cast Death on the melees. Just what you want!
Interesting. Yesterday we intentionally healed him to trigger his rage state, without success, it could be tied to something else then.
deleted.
Boo I want to actually experience that. Either I get:It decided to go super rage mode and chain cast Death on the melees. Just what you want
- LS runs where everything just dies like flies
- Pug runs where the hardest enemies are your allymates
Maybe someone should set up some lowman record thing for Plouton kills for.. well.. for not much else left to do in the game. 6 manning pop and boss kill is fine. 5 should be doable. But 4 or 3?
1x PLD pretty much set
1x GEO also
1x SCH to help cure and SC/nuke ?
Then something to do the pop condition Skillchains. I guess with Haste and Acc from GEO mages with a melee set could do some strange teamwork skillchain? Also there was never much data on a timed "Warp" from the boss. I heard reports but often just attributed them to "not fully trusting these people" and "someone most likely died". Maybe if you don't do enough damage in a certain timeframe? Now that everyone has him down not much info on that part.
Mercurial Sword on the PLD is enough to do the required 6-step. Use Sickle Moon -> Freezebite -> Sickle Moon -> Freezebite -> Sickle Moon -> Freezebite. I did it on PLD/BLU and it was a headache due to no Hasso and an unoptimized TP set but it can be done.
It can also be done with Quint Spear, though if your goal is to win with as few as possible, GS is most likely the better option. PLD loses roughly 90 ACC swapping from GS to Polearm due to differences in native combat skill and any ACC loss is critical.
mercurial sword isnt equipable by run right? because with epeo i fear the ele is dead before all 6 are done
pup dd/tanks!!! It... might work for the boss idk about 6 stepping.
As far as warp I actually saw it once but and no one had died but not exactly sure what triggered it. We had been at it awhile but iirc it wasn't some nice round time number. It was right around 1 minute left in zone so maybe that was it. On the otherhand we have more recently taken awhile fighting it and completely timed out of zone and no warp. Was kind of a big FU though
Had a warp the other day. It was at the 15 minute mark. No one had died.
