Ricky Romero released by the Jays. While not the biggest deal in the world, he was probably my favourite pitcher on the team right around the time I started getting into baseball. Even got to the all-star game as a replacement a couple years back. And then he just fell off his game and seemingly never recovered. I dunno if it was yips or just a confidence issue or what happened, but I had been rooting for a turnaround for some time now

Had a great time at the game tonight. Game was tied for the longest and we were thinking it might go into extra innings, then after the Jays scored in the 7th the Rays returned it with 3 runs in the 8th to win it. Rays pitchers also got a combined total of 10 Ks so we get to take our stubs to get a free 6" sub from Subway.

Oh I misread the article on it I was looking at. In that case, not a bad deal for Texas considering they're gonna pay only about 7 mil of his salary and the Angels save about 15 thanks to the no income tax from Texas from what I had read.
