Images are so haunting, can't even watch this shit anymore. Just 100's of police looking to fuck people up and media filming them march down streets like an occupying army.
I heard the PD members posted bail. They all have min. $250k bail. I don't know much and may be completely wrong, but don't you have to post like 10% for bail or something like that? Either way, how did members of a police department pay that...
so then they only needed 5-9 cops to put money in... idk what makes that a big deal
The police union that believes they did no wrong could have helped them?
You can use property as collateral with some bond agencies, take out a loan, or mortgage your home.
So assuming they move the trial to a different location whitewash the jury and clean shoot it,how bad of riots are we looking at? State? City? National? Im sure rodeny riots would be nothing compared.
The people that are too poor or dumb probably don't have 25k liquid. The people that make enough and are smart enough probably have about 3-6 months of salary in emergency funds (which may or may not be in a CD ladder). Everything else is likely invested. So yeah, 25k liquid is quite a bit to have. I'd imagine they used a bond or collateral.
One of my favorite indy journalists I follow on Twitter was arrested last night while filming the second snatch-up of Joseph Kent, the man who was kidnapped on live TV. Lot's of bloodied, beaten, and maced people last night when everyone was occupied by NBA and "the fight of the century." I wouldn't be surprised if protestor numbers swelled after all this curfew muscle-flexing. Shit has gotten old.
White allied protestors allowed 3 warnings AFTER curfew started: https://twitter.com/deray/status/594685998719770624
Rebel white folks in nearby neighborhoods, no curfew in-place, no police.

The twitter link https://twitter.com/deray/status/594685998719770624 isn't exactly surprising. The cop asking people to please leave is a Captain going by the insignia on his collar and they're not generally field officers rather than officers in a supervising roll. He acted exactly like you would expect someone of his rank to act, trying to defuse a situation with words as opposed to force.
Yes, this is the exact same captain who was out leading the march of 100's of officers who give no fucks once curfew hits. The video is an example of disproportionate enforcement of said curfew.
edit: I actually can't find where said captain was 2-3 nights ago in front of the mobster squad. For now, that individual claim is bonk, until I finish work and am able to sift through the Twitters.
