I made it to the sacrifice mission, I didn't get any option to go to WoE. I can finish VW to get access to the ornate door, but am I going to have to finish WoTG anyway for later missions?

Damn, so there is. Interesting this is that it's an automatic cutscene upon zoning in, not hidden on the goblin. Maybe they're foreshadowing instead?

On topic, Hammy that's very interesting that you get the WoE option at maw, I didn't even know that was an option. The quest text did indeed say that, but I, like a lot of people I think, just went straight to Xarc S when Lillisette said we were headed to WoE. I checked and I'm not getting the option at maws, I wonder if getting the cutscene in Xarc screws you up since she acknowledges you've entered WoE and the game is expecting you to hit the door next. Of course that wouldn't be very good error handling if you warped out before hitting the door, but it could be an oversight. I know that doesn't help your char, but might save someone else a headache.

I tried the maw several times before I went to Xarcabard [S], so I don't think that CS/flag had anything to do with it.

At this point I don't think there's anything else I can do about it. It appears to be something that I have already done that is blocking me from progressing, not something that I still NEED to do. So no amount of extra questing will fix it except for just finishing WotG. I haven't done too many more WotG missions, I'm on 14, but still now joy on the WoE option at the maw. And based on others' experience, I don't expect to get the option. Of course I'll post if that changes, or if as Infini suggests and they fix it on Tuesday, but I doubt that as well. Oh well, it's just a few more days out of my life. That's nothing compared to what I've already donated to SE lol.

My mule is in an interesting situation, that I'm not sure what's going on with it really..

I zoned into Windurst Woods, and immediately got put onto the Aphmau's Light mission, skipping the missions where you get Prishe's and Tenzen's trusts.
Slight issue there. I don't know if I'm able to reacquire those.

My mule also hadn't started Wings. I got the first initial cutscene at the Cavernous Maw in Batallia, and got given a Lightsworm, which says it allows access to the Walk of Echoes. After progressing through Wings until I completed Purple is the New Black, I zoned into Southern San d'Oria (S) and got a cutscene with Lilisette talking about having strange dreams, before mentioning that we should go to Walk of Echoes, through a Maw.

Talking to the Batallia Maw asks me to raise the Lightsworm, rather than the Feather, and I can choose WoE or the past. After that, it proceeds like normal, although the game is acting like I've done the first 6-7 missions (Gilgamesh going "Remember when we talked about..".

So, a question and an idea: Did I permanently miss out on these trusts? And try zoning into S Sandy (S) if the maw is screwing you over.

Oh, I should mention, at this time, about the mission progress, when I got that first cutscene:
Wings: Back to the Beginning
ToAU: Ghosts of the Past (ToAU 16)
CoP: Dawn (Have gotten the Lufaise CS, but no trusts yet, or started Apoc Night chain
RotZ: Awakening

Almost exact same experience except that I don't recall getting the Aphmau's Light mission in Woods. I got Tenzen II/Prishe II on the mule that progressed.

Everything else you said fits perfectly as to what happened on the mule. Same exact steps on my main (including Sandy [S] CS) haven't worked so far.

How much adoulin progress is needed for this? Me and my alt only did enough for rieve access and can't get the 2nd cs when you zone into delkfutts. My main has all other mission lines done, but I really wasn't planning on doing adoulin before this. Now with sinister reign locked behind the same gate, I guess I better get going.

Ok so I have done pretty much the same as you but I never got the light sworn which is stopping me from progressing!

No luck getting the ciphers from the cutscene rewatching, or the glowy spots in each zone. I pretty much followed the missions through, and nothing. Although, it could be I have to pick the right cutscene to progress, but the NPC has between 5-9 for each mission, so who knows which variant my character should actually receive..

SE needs to tell us what the hell is going on with these missions. Something is wrong somewhere, any chance of a fix during maintenance?

They keep updating their known issues daily last few days so I'm hopeful a bunch of fixes will land monday.

Is Call to Serve broken? Zoning into Port Jueno isn't bringing up the cutscene.

For those who were stuck with no WoE access, I was able to use the lightsworn KI to enter WoE from the Batallia maw after tonight's update. Hopefully that moves a good chunk of people through, will post if there are any other roadblocks to finishing.
Edit: Confirmed, was able to finish RoV with just WotG 7 done.

Still no luck for me. Maws wont give me any CS's for either RoV, Face of the Future or Wotg 40 -.-

Gildren posted a list of CoP and WotG missions that tie up various NPCs, barring RoV progress until their completion.

It's easy for me to say since I'm not inconvenience by it but I actually really like the attention to detail.
