Does it actually have to hit, or is absorbing it with shadows enough to trigger the reset?

Yeah, we had our black mages burst with ja and ga spells and knowing Niv ra spells were probably being cast as well.
I'm not sure if whirl claws has to hit to hate reset. The run where the mages stood back and the pld/nin tried to hold hate was so frustrating that we all stood around the mob from then on. My guess is no.
We just got the Polearm off Shockmaw. Cloudale on Sylph won it.
Late to the party + how do I even count shadows?
At least we did it. Need to get back on BST quick. Feels dirty.
I can see part of my name in that screenie, Seth!
Grats on the kill :D
New Escha Vorseals (That I can see) that opened up from Ru'Aun:
HP/MP x 2,
Acc/Eva x 1,
DEF x2,
Att/RAtt x 1,
MAcc/MEva x 1,
MDef x 2,
MAtt x 1,
Spoils x1 (50,000 silt)
Rare enemy x 2,
Also access to a second page, but nothing there yet.
Mobs inside are 116-119, as far as I can see.
So silt should be easier to farm!
Aaand the Xzomits are called Xzomt. Can't tell if that's a mistype or not. Yovra are still Yovra, and Aern are still Aern..
should we be posting stuff for new zone in here or make a new thread, this one is titled Zitah, might be good to have all the info at front page of a new thread
Naga Raja...lol
Fucking ow.
With higher ilevel it should be easier to farm silt for people who don't masspull though.
If you were farming silt single-target in Zi'tah, should make it faster in Ru'aun given the higher mobs level?
Ru'Aun mobs range from EP to T / VT from what I've seen. UFO were VT, ghrahs were T.
On the right days I am able to 1 shot mobs with a single target V spell in Zitah. With higher ilevel it should be easier to farm silt for people who don't masspull though.
Shouldn't we open a second Escha - Ru'aun thread? Or rename this one?
Had my first experience with Wrathare yesterday, killed it np 4 times (well, first kill was pretty slow I gotta say... then we adjusted our strategy and he went down fast).
Does he drop anything else other than the <5% drop rate Body and the ring? We got 7 crappy rings out of 4 kills.
Is it my impression or that guy has an insane evasion?
On NIN tank I was sitting at > 1365 Accuracy with the following buffs:
1) Sole Sushi +1
2) Dunna Precision + Torpor
3) Boost Dex
4) Misery Auspice
5) Distract 3
6) Marcato Madrigal2 + normal Madrigal1 and Uncanny Etude (all with Ghorn)
And my hit rate was still around uhm 65ish %.
I was having serious issues keeping hate despite Gekka, Yonin, my pretty good enmity swap set on spells/JA and spamming of Utsusemi: San (which supposedly generates a large amount of enmity with Yonin up, altough the exact amount is unknown since nobody ever tested it).
I mean, I haven't been hit even a single time by that guy, but if I were to go back and tank it I'd go on RUN/NIN next time, srsly.
Not like we're ever going back to kill it (we just needed it to kill once for the Vorseals etc), but fuck NIN main if we ever had to.
I didn't have really much issue keeping hate as NIN/RUN with +102 enmity swap. I also never bothered to even engage, let alone melee.
There is no reason to kill it again. Cg on your vorseal.
Okay, what is the easiest way to down the pixies (no BSTs)? The fewer people required, the better.
Pixies were ridiculously easy with rangers. Bring all 3 down to 26% before you kill any of them. I think Echandra's group was doing a similar thing with melee.
edit: Echandra's group also used rangers. They used overkill at 25% to kill the pixies quickly.
