Berlin is a great city and I never do tours.

And it is still white asparagus season, but yes beer.
Plan to go to Museum Island tomorrow.

Me and a guy from NYC (we just belong together yah know..) Took 4 ladies out to go clubbing last night. I totally slept to 4pm today lol oh well. Woke up and thought, and realized I had not eaten for about 24 hours and I should probably do that too.

So, at first we tried to go to Suicide Circus at the recommendation of someone in Oslo, but the bouncer only was letting Germans in and the woman from Manchester saying "what is it because I'm ginger?" Sorta made the situation worse lol.
Mr NYC tried to grease him up with cash (typical American), but he rejected it and I had to explain to the group after the bouncer was being a huge dick in German. That besides the fact he hates Americans (believe there was something about pissing on us) we can't come busting in with our way of mannerisms as it's not theirs.
So we went to club Matrix and didn't get back till 8am or something stupid. Shit I still don't know what happened to the guy from NYC, I was busy looking out for the ladies and my own pursuits. Woke up and the chick from Manchester was there. Besides my "oh- shit, , hey there" she asked where he went and I said "no~ clue!"
So, I need to get back to actually seeing things I think lol. Lest I waste more time here not doing that. Don't think I'll bother to see the concentration camp though. I mean Downsryan can't concentrate anyway ^_~

There was a German soccer team on the train to Prague with me and they got so fucked up (at 2pm) and aside from all the yelling/singing/bottles banging. Everyone walking out had to traipse through a wet floor with food and shit everywhere and slip on the steps out of the train.
Oh, but yet another tale.

Not nearly as entertaining though as this chick telling me about the homeless deaf lady masturbating loudly in her hostel at night.
She later woke up to being grabbed (not sexually) by this same lady and freaked out.
Oh, good times.

Edit: American tourists really are the dumbest people.
Just started up on one because it was the typical gaggle of women. "Yeah, just like if anyone says anything its like you are welcome for what we did for you (BS WW2 remarks Americans love to use)"
Me being myself, I cut in with the "excuse me but do you even know about it?"
First off this is their country.
Second, we accidentally carpet bombed part of the city when pilots mistook it for Dresden killing completely unsuspecting people and children.
Lastly, we left the city and pretty much the country for the communists. Since we ordered an eager Patton to stay out and he wanted the country because he saw it as preparing for conflict with Russia.
So yeah, I am sure they should love us right?

Personally, I didn't expect WW2 tensions to still exist much 70 years later, but after various discussions the people here still have issues with it (in East Europe in particular, perhaps Poland most of all). Even the Neu Museum in Berlin has a passive aggressive comment towards Russia up in it over their post war actions in the city.

You know, I expected more drama on BG. The mods seem to blend in with people and there doesn't seem to be the constant bitch fits or shit storms that we have on AH. Why is it possible here but not there? Is AH like the asylum for everyone who'd been booted from other communities or something?

Tbh its because of what XI is. People frequent it for a constant function of the game. This brings all the rats to the cheese. The sets are nice for posts too.

Here, well its something you go out of your way to get to.
That good restaurants down an alley sort of place.
The mods blend in because they are just normal posters who don't abuse their power or have BS happen with other mods.
Aside from me being here its the best place related to the game there is.
Drama happens and its more legendary (forceofwill platinum deluxe) because its allowed to go for amusement sake.

I was once told that, as a mod, I was 'above' other posters. I wanted to help out which meant pissing some people off one way or another, but I didn't really think I was above anyone. Apparently the normal posters thought mods were above everyone else too.

Yeah, I suppose AH is a tool that attracts a lot of people but nothing is really being done with XIVpro so I doubt it lasts too long after XI dies. The rules there are strict due to Google ads so drama can't continue for too long or suddenly "mods ain't doin' their job!" I'm not sure why Player Warnings were banned because of Google. I admit, at times I'd watch drama for a bit before nuking a thread. Forums can't be fun without slap-fights over who deserved a pair of shoes more.

Depends on a bunch of things. FF related drama we almost always let go until it dies off on it's own. The big no no topics where very little shenanigans are accepted are the hot button topics like racial, rape, transgender, etc and all of that is in the Youtube forum.

Plus we also have the added bonus of longevity. Most of the posters here have been here for years. I mean shit, I've been here almost ten. Barring some real blatant retardation everyone knows where the lines are drawn.

I used to think this forum was only for members of the LS on Bahamut so I didn't really sign up and yeah, I can understand drawing the line at certain topics.

BG evolved along the years. There were mods and an Admin who thought they were above the community. Luckily, Admins here didn't abandon their project for w/e and let it go to shit; They listened to the community. While they don't give in to every crybaby that comes out of the woodwork, they do recognize when someone is on a power trip.

Why is it that i never like what I hear about Scragg? Even back in the day he didn't present himself it was Jaerik who was the face. Where did Jaerik go anyway? AH lacks a real face.

Bossman Jae works for Disney in the games department. See, Scragg is detached from the community and while he really isn't a bad guy his distance from the community is an issue. He doesn't know what's going on and I usually had to tell him. Mods there don't really know consequences, when Jaerik was there, there was an Admin constantly in contact with the community, he was head of the mods and JP translation over there and if a mod was abusive, he could punish them immediately.

The issue lies in the design of permissions Admin gets. Due to the way accounts are set up, an Admin can see PMs (dick & tit pics) as well as passwords so Scragg doesn't trust many with Admin permissions but the guy who replaced me has access to a repository for the site. Not 100% sure how that works.
