Launch trailer for Western release
Looks like they took a lot of stuff from Frontier and threw it into this.
didn't the the last MH break all sorts of records (for the MH series) in the west? Seems like a western release is a no brainer
I really need to get back into MH4, I fell off the wagon at HR3.. It didn't pull me in like MH3U, harder for me to play handheld releases that aren't pokemon for hours at a time I guess.
I like the special moves, gameplay looks a little faster paced. You can definitely see the action game influences in it now, DMC comes to mind.
MH with some faster, almost-Toukiden, type pacing?
Put it on a home console, tone down all the cat nonsense and I'm there day one.
It looks amazing. I may just have to nab a cheap JP 3DS for this one...

Gaijin's theories don't help my hype problem.
Gaijin going over new info from Famitsu.
God damnit stop building my hype doom. I don't wanna drop money on a JP 3DS but damnit I will if Capcom fails to deliver some good news before Winter :\
I am right there with you... I am. The hype will consume me.
I'm thinking about upgrading to a JP N3DS for this, but I'm sure there will be a LE. I still have my CPP and my Charizard LL, so maybe I'll just stick with that, but it'd be awesome if some of you guys picked up a JP system so I have people to play with.
To be released in Japan on November 28th (Pre-Orders begin August 1st)
Will have a unique 3DSXL, Daigo to compose, will be playable at TGS, Nargacuga to return

The hype got me Voyage. I caved and own a JP n3ds LL now. You could always go the hacking route if that is something that you are willing to do, remove region lock that way and import it.
Anyone else playing this day one? 16 more days...
A ton of new info out there for anyone wanting it. Surely some of this would be considered spoilers, but I have never really considered info spoilery when it comes to the MH series. Not like you close your eyes when you choose quests =P
Demo is out in the JP eShop on the 19th. Game is buyable and preloadable now in the eShop as well for those that want to avoid the congestion on launch day.
Here are some recap videos on the latest Famitsu/info dumps.

For any of you that are importing (won't work if you are using Homebrew to remove region lock, I don't believe) here is a quick and easy guide to set up your My Capcom account and Hunter ID registration to get two free themes for your 3DS. Took me about 10 minutes start to finish.
Got it preloaded on my system. I'll need to follow Gaijin's video to get the theme.
So ready for the demo next week.
Demo in roughly 10 hours (assuming it unlocks at 1pm when the eShop updates).
Also, FINALLY some wonderfully wanted QoL additions to the online hall. Save game, change armor sets/gear, upgrade armor/weapons... all while still in the Online Hall. Yes.
Bringing the Hot spring back?!
Demo is up. Just go to the preorder/order button for MHX and it's the long bar button at the top there.
It's fun. There are a lot of things to try out. I'm even more hyped for the release next week.
Agreed. I have done Bushido style mostly so far. Loving it. It's little things too, like texture improvements, motion feels great, even the sound it now makes when you use a potion... the little crystalline sounds. Love it.
PS, the Hunter Arts (and Hunting Styles) are largely up on the Wikia in case you want to know what each does in each setup.
