Ping and Athena both have the app too for PC, also I feel less hyped about this game then MH4U was but still fun, i'm just playing less in a single time frame. I'm also going really slow because i'm doing 100% of the Village quests, (i'm at like page 3/5 lol)

Been playing with Adept Hammer, pretty fun, but fuck hitting tall monsters with it, I'm extremely rusty and Cephadrome's been a bitch with the hammer, easier to deal with it with Aerial SA, maybe I should try Aerial Hammer.

How does mounting work anyway? Do I just mash X?

hit them with a jumping attack and you may knock them over and mount them, i'm so glad they changed mounting in this version so other players can still hit the damn monsters while they're mounted without knocking the mounted player off >.>

Literally any question you may have about any Monster Hunter mechanics can be answered in Gaijin Hunters youtube channel. Dig thru there whenever you need to learn/refresh up on something.

Specifically though you don't want to just mash X. The little Monster Head is basically your time limit and you are safe to mash when it's green and moving slowly. When it turns orange mashing X will speed it up substantially (this usually happens during Roars or when the monster thrashes about). Fill the bar before the monster head reaches the edge of your progress to topple.

Went to buy the game on the eshop, got declined, was curious, called the bank and for some reason they canceled my card because they sent me a replacement due to a mix up in their computers telling them it was time for a renewal (it's not)
