Long War Mod for X-Com 2 is coming. Based on the announcement for it coming directly from Firaxis on the X-Com website, looks like they'll be working hand in hand with the mod team for this one.

I have to leave home for a month here soon on some work stuff, and considering I fucking hate Virginia I'll definitely be getting some mileage out of it while I'm there.

I feel like mod compatibility will be a nightmare, tho luckily I'm not subscribed to too many gameplay altering ones.

Edit : Reddit is on the case in regards to mod compatibility, looks like almost all the stuff I use is already fully compatible or now baked into Long War by default, so yay https://www.reddit.com/r/Xcom/commen...irst_campaign/

Big thing to look for in regards to mods is that any currently installed Long War Packs need to be disabled, they're all built in by default and having both enabled is gonna be a bad time.

War of the Chosen dropping at midnight EST tonight. If you're gonna play it, it's a good idea to remove all your workshop mods, apparently even simple cosmetic mods might break the game because of all the changes.

So fyi, the DLC + the base game is almost 70 GB (30 +36), so make sure you got the space.
