Staying on MAC
Anyone know if Magic Jelly Bean can still pick out your Windows 7 key? I can't find the box for it but want to make sure I can re-install if it goes south.
Hopefully Win10 will allow you to create installation media like Win8 does, so you don't have to install over your existing install, but can do a clean one. Upgrade installs are annoying.
I'll probably install it as a virtual machine and give it a try if I can. If I like it, then the next time I have a reason to reinstall I'll change to it. Desktop will stay W7 until then though.
Going to switch to windows 10 myself after a few months possibly, unless people show some amazing windows 10 stuff on release making me want to upgrade faster.
For those wondering, it is set to release on the 29th of July, so it will still be awhile.

Just remember, you only got 1 year to get a free windows 10 upgrade so ... best to get it sometime before it actually costs money. I'm mainly waiting a bit to give time for MS to fix early upgrade issues they may find, bug fix's etc etc they missed during beta testing.
Then again, I may upgrade sooner considering it handles 4K res better than windows 7 can...
Has anyone been playing XIV on any of the 10 previews and/or know if it's fairly stable and well functioning?
From various reddit posts it works fine. Some claim it runs even better, although I'm presuming that from people using a fresh new install on a HDD (not SSD) and noticing improvements. Probably won't notice much of a change in performance till FFXIV goes DX11/64bit?

Was wondering if I'd have to skip the free upgrade and buy Windows 10 Pro, but Ultimate/Pro-editions of Windows 7 and 8 are getting a free upgrade to Windows 10 Pro, it seems.
Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V finally work in command prompt in Windows 10. That alone is worth upgrading.
Ah ok. I was just thinking copy/paste in general. I rarely open cmd so it doesn't make a difference to me.
