On another note, I wish they made Darkmoons like in DS1, blue orb and all, instead of this broken auto-summon thing we got, the range is too small and nobody wears Way of the Blue because there's nothing to gain from it.

I'm like SL 220 or something. on Playthrough 1 once I got to those Winged Knights I spend like 4 days at 4+ hours each day farming over and over, using the Coil Sword fragment to HP.

Probably the only one that you can't really do. Swordgrass, Tongues and Concords are easy enough with at least 300+ discovery but fuck running catacombs to kill red eyes.

There was video of the Japanese version getting the drop off of the two immediately outside of the Carthus Catacombs bonfire, just past the rolling skeleyball. I'm wondering if they just... took it out of the NA release or something dumb, because

Zero (0) vertebrae.

I'm defeated. Maybe I can talk a friend into letting me kill him 29 times, since my SL is so fucked I won't be doing that on randoms.

Edit: Maybe I'm overthinking, a friend pointed out the "collect every ring" achievement requires every ring. Every ring. All of them, including the +1 and +2. I feel dumb for not realizing that sooner.

I'm not looking forward to farming those vertebrae at all. But, you might want to try getting your item discovery higher if you can. I was farming the Swordgrass yesterday with barely 280 item discovery and I get like 6 after 3 hours. I changed my setup today so I have 375 now and I'm getting 1 every other group I kill (farming the 3 at the Keep Ruins bonfire), already have 8 after about 20 minutes.

Unless you're extremely high SL, why not hit up some FC in the pontiff area? You can get your 30 vertebrae in a couple hours, even if you don't like PVP I'm sure it's better than farming them in the catacombs.

I'll give it a whirl if I get real unlucky with the drops. I just started farming the vertebrae and I got 1 off the fourth skeleton I killed, so they definitely still drop at least. lol

The only thing stopping me from fight clubbing it up is that video of the guy softbanning everyone in the same area. I might just respec all of my faith and dex and whatever into luck just to try and get a small boost there, but an extra 50~ luck is only a .5% increase on the drop. It's weird, I had some dry spells farming up Proofs but nothing that last over 200 kills.

I get the idea of having an SL meta to make sure people can continue to find people/invade/co-op but what do you do with your souls at that point? Just ignore collecting them or spend them on consumables? That feels... inherently wrong to me for reasons I can't explain.

There are more people who level as much as they can than there are tryhards twats sitting in fight clubs all day. Unless you care about dropping signs at a bonfire 24/7 then play naturally. There is plenty of multiplayer action through NG++

Had a nice fight in a fight club. 3 reds and the host were there. I killed the red in the arena, host comes for me, I almost kill him and the other 2 phantoms just drop on him and kill him. lol I got my vertebra though. I think I was actually farming these faster in the catacombs though.

It depends what kinds of summons you get. Solo hosts who want a duel is quick, but sometimes you get the 'organizer' types who just sit around and summon... so you'll have to 3-0 the phantoms/reds to get a shackle.

My experience was solo hosts 4 to 1 ish. It was damn fun clearing the room when you got the FC though.

Just had my first Darkmoon summon ever, 100 hours in, SL80... in the crucifixion woods while I was messing around/farming Watchdog's grass, unfortunately didn't happen again while I was there.

I got summoned once as a Darkmoon. I got to the invader just in time to watch the host kill him.
