After you fight the two knights, the path splits to left down the hill, and the right goes into that tight area with all the murky dudes? Whatever the fuck they are. At the end of that area there's a hidden wall which leads to the Covetous+3

Hoping I left a character at a place I can access the dlc. I'm pretty sure I still need to get through most of Lothric Castle , but I think I do have the Ashes of Ariandel boss beat.

Well I dunno what the latest Dark Souls 3 update did but apparently it broke my controller, which hilariously enough works perfectly fine in DS1 and 2. How this happened I don't know but goddamn.

Do you have more than 1 USB controller plugged in? DS3 has always had an issue where you can't have more than 1 USB controller plugged in or none of them will be recognized.

optional dragon boss, god damn that fight took me a ton of tries, beat that fucker hard, easily one of the most satisfying fights since nameless king, a true dragon fight!

Yeah that's what it was, super annoying but at least I got it sorted out in time to at least get a weapon or 2 lol.

I just realized that the Twin Princes/Demon Prince boss fight arena is the DS1 firelink shrine, i was brought to tears when the way to advance is through Frampt's tunnel. Also, they brought back the PVP boss fight, if you defeat the dragon Midir, you can be summoned into a boss fight with 2 painting guardians that kick your ass similar to aldrich faithful. So satisfying.

Just finished the DLC and I have to say it's a lot better than the previous one (if you can even call that content lol). Cool areas, some interesting mechanics with a bit too much cover shooter (AND LOOOOONG DROPS) involved but good paths and interesting/cool enemies.

Can basically second everything Nitsuki said, some great bosses and genuinely hard ones. With exception to Old Monk 2.0 every boss required multiple tries.

Midir was amazing for a dragon boss, totally what Ancient Dragon in DS2 could have been. His breath/beam attacks are all so fucking intense I love it. Demon Princes was impressive and while I was annoyed at the 2v1 thing again they handled it a lot better than Gravetender. Old Monk 2.0 was interesting even if it was a bit too easy cause of the PVP component, but doing it yourself to invade someone is amazingly fun. Just a shame it takes several years to get summoned. Gael was a good send off for the series, with an equally tragic story but good boss fight. I loved the area and you would fight in 1 place and end up somewhere totally different by the time you died/won. Very fun fight.

And I dunno how it took so long for dual ultra greatswords, but they're super fun.

It's just a shame they connected some stuff to Ashes, since I wouldn't really recommend getting that over Ringed City but it doesn't really matter unless you're super into lore.

Beat the DLC again on my PvE SL200 character, still amazing. Now i'm not gonna be playing the game, because casualfags cried and nerfed the DLC. I guess people don't know how to hide from the angels, they nerfed my new favorite weapon the 2xUGS and they re-nerfed the exile greatsword, they nerfed the new covenant so it's easier to gankspank it because 90% of the players always have a fucking butt buddy. I fucking hate these casualfags, fuck this game, completely unfun now. I really enjoyed getting pulled in to help my beloved covenant that lasted a week.

god damn i'm salty.

I just started using the twin greatswords and now that they got nerfed I'm just kinda like, fuck it. I'll just pick the game up six months from now when they're done screwing with everything. The PvP weapon balancing in this game has become so obnoxious I wish they'd just take PvP out, they keep screwing up all my PvE fun.

Sounds about right, for all the good they do they always fuck it up trying to balance what is already a pretty unbalanced PVP. Just go the DS2 route and let people have fun with it. I was pissed coming back because all the cool weapons I used got nerfed, yet rapiers are still good. RIP UGSx2, you were a beast for a while and super fun. Goddamn they really have to fuck with them.

That's a shame about the covenant though, was really fun when it actually worked.

My question regarding the other giants you encounter earlier; is there a trick I was missing to beating them? The 2nd one in the swampish area I didn't try to kill really, but the first didn't seem possible with the arrows flying non-stop. At least not with the weapons ideas using and not spending time chipping it down with arrows.

That was my guess when I first heard him speak and when he started talking about a treasure that seems dangerous, it cemented it for me.

No secret, just beat their asses. They respawn so they aren't especially strong but they can be dangerous.

If you mean the one right when enter the Ringed City proper, with all the gravestones for cover, I found it to be a lot simpler to get on the stairs behind him first, then run back up and shoot arrows. Getting a shot or two off between dodging the melee summons isn't bad, and at that range, arrows do decent damage.
