6 had the most amount of interesting characters, many of them playable. And you had to level a majority of them to compete with Kefka. And grinding was fun. A moderation would be great since many millennials have never played it.

There was a very fine line with that. I smashed it by turning Gogo into a blender and making sure everyone had every spell and economizers.

The actual gameplay footage looks amazing. Couldn't have designed it better - great mix of turn based and more modern interactivity.

I cannot imagine this taking less than 3-4 chapters however given the size and complexity of just this first Chapter. Assuming at least a year between Chapters (likely more), that's quite the wait to finish the game.

Is the game play similar to KH3? Or more like FF15 without all the warping? Or some form of hybrid that we have yet to play?

The more I think about it, I don't think waiting years for the game to be finished will bother me THAT much. We know the story already. The journey to the end may be different, but we know how it'll break down loosely. I'm right there with everyone wanting the entire thing now, but if each chapter as packed as this first one appears to be, I'm down to see the expanded story and experience it over the course of years.

eh? most FF PC ports have been fine to quite good (VI is the worst and that was mostly people complaining it was ugly which is not great but hardly gamebreaking), even discounting emulation it's easily the single best platform on which to experience the franchise.

The pc version of FFXV was a pretty great port. It’s easily better than the console.

I've understood most FF ports are terrible and have crash issues among other issues with PC. Maybe I'm thinking other SE titles or ports to other systems/consoles/mobile. If so, my bad. All hail PC overlords, anything that releases on anything+PC I get for PC (sometimes switch wins so I can dust it off).
