They said they wouldn't remake VII until they made one that surpassed it (which I think they were thinking XIII would). "Exceeds the quality" is the direct quote and that doing so would also mean that FF "would be done with." The article is from June 26th, 2012.

I'm p.sure the reveal trailer specifically said PS4 and PC, so pc confirmed afaik. What I'm not sure on is if it's available first on PS4, or both systems at launch.

Pretty sure ps1 version is untouched, and the one they're "remastering" has changes to fix some things.

The psn version is the original psx version and not playable on ps4. The pc port is all the changes that was made when re released on steam.

I wonder what its like to know that you've the power to literally cause other human beings to cry tears of joy over something you've created. As an artist, that must be breathtaking. Its pretty easy to bring other humans down. Its not so easy to lift others up.
