I was really stoned for most of my play through. Blitzball was super exciting.

Would I want a single player on a single team who can fight? Sure. Two? Why not. There are only 2 who fight. Everyone else is a straight jock.

That's like saying men who played sports didn't go off to fight in the War in World War 2.

I dunno what part of a group of like 8 dudes trying to save the world and uncover mysteries has to do with WW2, you know where you didn't stroll down a long path with a few friends and meet people and fight wild monsters.

It's entirely relateable until it isn't, so if you wanna use parallels go ahead, I just think it's stupid for a fantasy game to frame it's character and opening story on an imaginary sport that has no relevance in the later plot.

Like I said before, that's just stupid. At least Triple Triad was smart enough to merely be a side thing and wasn't like...the basis of any characters or events.

i'm confused or you're all dumb, blitzball was how the game started. tidus was playing a game and sin attacked and then he goes off with auron, it was a common element throughout the entirety of the game.


idk how you can say it adds nothing to the story, while it could have been anything else(pokemon trainers, meth dealers, card gamers).. so could have anything else in anything so that's an incredibly weird/stupid argument

eh. dont drag XII down along with XIII. XII was a masterpiece with a spectacular (albeit somewhat more mature/political than your average FF) story

The story of 12 was just Star Wars Episode 4-6 being re-told with Chocobos.
