Like I suppose there's a chance you could only control Cloud exclusively, but who doesn't expect to see at least the basic cast of 7 with the chance of extras (like the Turks) or new characters?

These dudes running remakes are god damn stupid to want recognition. They should keep it completely under wraps and just have a few close friends monitor the project instead of posting it everywhere, lol. They could legitimately try and sell (or at least present) the completed project to SE. And if they can't, it would be impossible for SE to stop the spread of a released game from hitting the public, just like Streets of Rage Remake v5.

Edit: Even showing it to friends would be a bad idea IMO. I'm pretty sure one could swear fellow developers, musicians, and artists to secrecy until the project was done, even if only an alpha or beta version of the complete game.

Yuffie can't be Yuffie because of "child porn" because she has an undone button on her shorts
Honey bee Inn will have to be replaced with a girl power sign because "a brothel is demeaning to women"
Don Cornero will be a gentle family man that runs a restaurant you order food from that promotes women somehow.
Elena will be the leader of the turks
Nanaki will turn out to be a female all this time
Sherra will be the head of the space program
Lucrecia will be the president of shinra

So on so forth.
