Yup. Apparently she felt that Cloud being a schizophrenic lunatic who should probably be kept away from Sephiroth wasn't that big an issue. She could've saved everyone and the world a fuckton of issues had she just flat-out called Cloud out on his bullshit at Kalm. "Da fuq picture is this nigga talking about!?"

It's poorly written and like I said before, extremely evident the character itself was a last minute addition.

In Kalm, actually, I think Barrett asks Tifa if what Cloud was saying was what happened and she said something to the effect of "...yea." which was more like a "yea, but how the hell did he know?"

Tifa admittingly is handled poorly, being the dangling tits on a string to further Cloud's plot. She's probably the character that gets screwed the most here, considering everything.

Is the guy who is fucking shit up being the same guy who burned down your village not enough? Is the fact that your childhood crush (it seems both of them were crushing on each other but too pussy to say anything) seems to know things that by all rights you think he shouldn't know in relation to your village being burned down and sounding suspicious as fuck and he's going on a trip to take out the very same guy who burned your village also not enough?
I mean, I think Tifa had plenty of reasons to go along. Sure, she's not on some altruistic quest to save the planet, but does everyone have to be that guy?

It is still SE even if FFVII is involved. So never count anything out.

But then when they're in Calm and he's telling the story of Sephiroth in Nibelheim, she would have spoken up since he specifically mentions talking to her in that cutscene. Unless I'm remembering that hour long flash back wrong. I should replay the game before the remake so I can make comparisons.

Kuronosan is correct. She often interjects during that flashback and says "Are you sure that's how that happened?"

people really cried when aeris died? I guess it didn't really faze me because I always thought she would come back in some way/form/as a summon or something. I was also 9 or 10 when it came out so I didn't really understand what was going on.

I'm going to put my fan boy aside for a moment. This episode thing kinda scares me because it can son easily be done wrong. I cannot see how it's going to work without being a disjointed or cheapened experience unless they do it like an mmo or DLC where you buy the base game sand each episode thereafter is built upon the base experience.

Without being too gloomy what I mean is they could make it to where quests or golden saucer or unlocking certain LB or the gem weapons are only available in certain episodes or so forth. Which is something I wouldn't enjoy

Im not drawing any conclusions yet as there's a lot of information we've left to get. Just done thinking of the positives which there are a it and started too speculate on how badly this could go. It's a healthy habbit dammit

I was 16 when Aeris was killed. It was the first and only time my mother watched me play a game because the story was that compelling. I didn't cry, but I can easily recall being in awe of such a scene as I had never witnessed something at that magnitude. It was a great moment in gaming memory and I hope this remake creates lasting images as the first one did.

I didn't read about any of the episodic stuff but was there any mention of the amount of time there would be before each episode was released? I would think that too big of a gap would dampen the experience as well and make the story choppy

If nothing major happens between games, I'd say 6 months to a year between releases. Anything more than that would be pretty bad.
