Doesn't this belong in the other remake thread? This is for the FF7 rerelease, not remake.

That said, cautiously optimistic about this. They can add A LOT if they're going to space this game out into around three full length games. How they'd do it is up in the air for me though, the game was only three cds long and the third cd was really just the last "arc" of the game that took up a bunch of space because by then the entire world was explorable.

Really really hoping the first game is 30 hours of nothing but Midgar, second game ending with Aeris's death, and third game with Sephiroth's finish, and it has the added benefit of there being no reason they can't move your entire progress over from one game to the other if that was the case.

3 full fledged games sounds really good. All 3 having 30 hours of gameplay seems a bit dubious considering the length of the original game (I sure as fuck don't remember spending 90 hours on it). But considering that they want to add things or even change some things makes me think it'll be doable.

Well I think they said at one point they would be adding more story for side characters too, right? Plus I imagine they drastically expand on Zack's story compared to the original.

Yuffie's backstory is pretty extensive on in the original game, her subplot is just as involved (if not moreso) than the rest of the party.

Vincent not so much but mystery was always part of his character anyway (he got explained plenty in his own game tho).

Yeah but they are both optional content. Could be made to not be anymore and then expanded upon further.

Well I thought they said were going to add story for the avalanche members. So if they are doing it for them, I'd imagine they would do it for a lot more of the cast that aren't necessarily party members.

I'd be amazed if they didn't give the Turks/Rufus some sort of expanded storyline. Probably linked in with Cait Sith.
