There's certain melee setups that can be quite deadly, mainly involving tonberries I believe. Shivalry can also be quite nice for a melee setup too since deep freeze is physical + element, but single target(though that skill is 11ap). The melee setup mainly revolves around criticals. Tonberry setups mainly revolve around knife based skills, but I think grudge can be good too, and abused in a way. I don't really know of any other good melee setups, at least at endgame.

I stuck with one magic user and one physical, but easily dropped that physical as I got near the end of the game.

Just started playing last night... the dialogue between the two mirage keepers is cracking me up... normally I'd just wtf and walk away, but for some reason it works, and I keep playing lol.

So I'm in chapter 5 atm and game feels good. I wiped once at the chapter 4 boss cuz my stacks were weak.

Before evolving my mirage should I fill the board?

Is there any skills that transfer on evolving?

I will admit though, one character I seriously can't stand right now is Chocolatte.... every time I go to her her shop and hear her speak I feel like stabbing someone lol.

I've kind of hit a roadblock at the moment though. I've gotten to Icicle Ridge and don't have Sizzle yet, so I can't progress yet. From what I've read seems like there should be a mirage in the forest that has it, but I haven't fought it yet. So I'm stuck grinding the forest for Sizzle right now.

When you bring up the full list of skills on the mirage board it'll show both normal and evolve forms skills, think when pressing triangle. Any skill that shows up green does not carry over when evolving, any that's white will carry over. And no, you shouldn't fill the board, only learn what's good first, and ignore the less useful stuff for later. If you're trying to transfig something that you actually want to use, then just focus on transfigging it first, then pick up anything useful.

I believe there's also a Black Nakk you can catch from one of the earlier areas as well that has Sizzle if I remember correctly.

It's ok, I have Sizzle now, was just trying to see if I could nab a cactuar, but the shit keeps running away. -_-; Screw it though lol. I think my set up is doing ok for now. Working with:

S - Zapt M - Cockatrice L- Reyn
S- Tama M- Babyhemoth L- Rann

Seems to be doing pretty good. Reyn is raping with magic attacks and Lann is raping with physical so it's working, I just wanted to get rid of Tama's ass, lol.

Tama gets a nice evolve form much later in the game, but I still didn't use her much even with how cool it is. Pretty much anything can work, really, stack wise, but near the end of the game, some things does become a bit more challenging and may make people change up their stacks some. I was honestly surprised that my Shiva + Zapt combo remained one of the best setups even at endgame still. It did bug me a bit that not many mobs are weak to the other elements, kinda made feel them useless to me I don't get why nearly the whole game is weak to thunder or ice, and sometimes both. Hell, even the best grind spot in endgame, the weakness is Ice and Thunder, so fucking dumb lol

Luckily, for me at least, I only went to her about 3 times. I got most everything through drops. She's most useful early on before you start getting everything from killing. That said, she is part of some interventions. You unlock some really good stuff from having interventions done, so any usefulness she saw from having seeds goes as well. They're too expensive to begin with.

Everything that i learn from Babyhemoth will be carried over to Behemoth or ??? exept Horn?

Question about Arma stone, are they as 'low' to get as the game says?

I used 2 to buy the WOL medal, i can now access the Refia medal, can i get every medal and do all the intervention missions? or do i really need to chose careful and not waste my arma gems?

Arma gems drop from trash mobs in the extra dungeons post-game. But if you want something before that, yeah they're limited. I was still able to do all interventions+all available medals before end-game though. Long as you keep up with secret areas a bit you'll be ok to buy whatever.

And in that case, if I remember right, yes. Everything except Horn carries over.

Holy crap, I just fought Faris and she annihilated me, lol. That Thunder move she used with Syldra did 1100+ damage to everyone. Is it actually possible to be strong enough to beat her? Because that move seemed pretty insane.

I think you're only supposed to survive to a point. I don't remember if she wiped me or not.
