I dunno if you noticed Avarice but WAR has 100% parry rate for 20 seconds on a 90 sec CD, I don't think the disparity between WAR and DRK as far as damage taken goes will be very big. I initially thought it just blocked a single hit (that's what early reports said anyway) but the description is pretty clearly all attacks for 20 seconds. DRK may edge out in magic heavy fights if they're kind of unpredictable (IE can't just inner beast it all easily).

This one, I can't tell until we get in game, though the biggest change I noticed is to Paladin; Royal Authority is 320 potency (which is higher than anything Warrior has, bar Fell Cleave, but Fell Cleave is conditional in that it requires 5 stacks of Abandon), and Goring Blade coming in at a whopping 540 potency.

WAR's DPS stance increases their crit rate and provides a flat 5% damage boost, on top of the flat 20% boost from Maim (Fight or Flight averages out to 10%), PLD has no native access to the 15% slashing debuff WAR enjoys, and Berserk is a thing. I'm unconvinced that this is a particularly close race.

Oaths still being on the GCD is also fucking retarded.

Slashing Debuff is 10%, as are all damage debuffs (BV Foes aside).

Also I think you're forgetting that PLD did more damage than WAR before thanks to Sword Oath and their off-GCDs.

They still have those things but now their combo finisher is 340 goddamn potency up from 260 and they have a 540 potency DoT.

WAR has the 5% boost from Abandon and a 500 potency IB to use in DPS stance, they've both gained significantly and it's far from a foregone conclusion that WAR is going to be ahead.

Sword oath is still a major boost and PLDs 2 new combos are very potent. Esp Goring slash at 920 total pot.

In the OT role I think it closer then it looks, but if Fellcleave really cost 0 TP then WAR definitely has the edge.

Yea SE seemed to have forgotten that PLD still uses TP and even before 3.0 they ran out faster than WAR.

Now WAR has FC and that other skill (forgot name) giving them 200 bonus TP/min while PLD is the same as they were before, 70-60-60 4life.

I'll be honest, I'm happy with the apparent last minute change to Enochian cos it looked clunky as fuck beyond a couple of rotations.

Yeah I like it better too, seems smoother.

I am saddened by the nerfs to Manawall and Flare though. In reality they were both OP however.

I don't understand the nerf to manawall. The job already has one of the roughest times dealing with upkeep every time an AoE is thrown at them. Why can't they be rewarded with not having to move for memorizing a script and being able to ignore select attacks?

Could have reduced it to absorbing one hit instead of two at the least.

Didn't catch much because it's a pain to look through items on that Garland DB site. Law gear was 170, there was 2 sets with the same appearance which were 180 and 190, maybe Alex Normal and Alex Savage gear? Highest weapons looked like Bismarck at i180 and Ravana at i190, presumably from the extreme versions of those. A primal weapon being the highest available makes me question if all the Alex drops are actually in there, since I assume Alex Savage Turn 4 will give the BIS weapon, so maybe those i180/190 sets aren't actually from Alex... or it could be Alex Normal and you have the ability to upgrade them? I dunno.

Unfortunately even though I have a tab still open it won't search the item database when I try, so I can't double check and get actual names for you. The i190 set had an "Asura" prefix and the i180 had a completely different one but I can't remember what it was.

Going through dats myself now..I don't see Alexander stuff..a few meshes here and there but no actual pointers or anything, but I do recall highest ilvl is somewhere around 220 but that was just exampled.

Law gear is called Yasha, it's i170 and it can be upgraded to Asuran gear, which is i180. I didn't see any i190 gear except for the Ravana weapons.

Probably easier on them to just withhold data and issue it as a patch instead of having to test and Q&A another feature for their launcher. We already know there's going to be that update which opens up Alex HM and the weekly-lockout tomestone, probably cram stuff in that.

It's a decent habit for them to have anyways. Keeps things more efficient going not having excess bloat sitting unused in the files, like with FFXI having zone data/enemies laying dormant for a full year or two.
