Acc on the ones that don't have it. Others have been too lazy, I have a crit4 on ear but mostly just because my handful of speed4s broke first.
Avoid Accuracy. Your gear is already loaded to the teeth with it and Shield Oath gives +5% Hit Chance as well. The safest best is Crit and DET.
However, I do have a working theory that Skill Speed is very helpful for PLD, especially in Sword Oath. Since our Threat builder (RoH) is lower than the other tank jobs, being able to attack faster can make up for this. Even further, skill speed also builds up damage for Goring and CoS (though I can't say by how much). Yeah, you'll run out of TP faster, but you'll also build damage/threat faster which means you don't have to use RoH as much.
I would also consider the support nature of PLD as well with Clemency and Stoneskin. Of course you want to use these as least as possible and in a perfect party it's definitely unnecessary, but if PLD is meant to be a clutch tank, then being able to act out of a weaponskill faster helps with that.
I would invest in accuracy now though because we don't yet know how much Savage will require and it adds longevity to the piece. I think I would fall short of Ravana accuracy if I did not have the acc melds I have right now, though I am losing a decent chunk from Law>Alex on feet.
The ACC seems excess now, but 2 weeks ago with didn't have alex legs. We also don't know how long i150s will be good for and what Alex/Tome gear is going to look like. I don't regret ACC at all especially with how secondaries scale since 3.0.
A1 Savage Acc check seems to be ~570.
Also Faust's enraged cleave cuts through Hallowed Ground.
Obvious solution is obvious.
Spoiler: show
Just remember to avoid the glowing panels.
Very happy with my i150 melds658acc with BiS i210 left side.

So what is the verdict so far on paladins in savage? From what I've read on the forums, most of the clears save for one A2 group did not use paladins, but war/war or war/drk.
I'm sure the DRKs out there really want it to be so, but this here be PLD territory.
Anytime there is content where the party can't overgear and be at the prefered ilvl, PLD will reign supreme.
Its the job's bread and butter.
Also, most clears I've seen have been war/pld. I haven't seen one with a DRK mt or ot yet, just lots of salty salty tears.

Lots more where that came from too.
Elysium used WAR/DRK IIRC.
But yeah, PLD is fine on Savage. It's only issue is once players starts to get Estorics gear, the HP checks will be more comfortable and then we'll be looking to optimize DPS, which is where WAR and DRK are better, though 2 WAR is optimal.
That said, PLD's utility is really fucking terrible still because Clemency and even Stoneskin can't be reliably cast in any savage fight because one hit interrupts any spellcast, and Divine Veil is just lacklaster.
PLDs entire skill set is OT stuff. Clemency best cast on the MT, not by the MT. DV used from the OT position will hit the MT. SS is free to cast as an OT. OT can spam Royal.
DRK has rampart and sentinel. So until there is a tank buster that Sheltron can be used on, PLD is really a better OT. Even if there is an HG moment you can just tank swap, HG, then swap back.
It's funny, because PUGs feel exactly the opposite. Trying to convince them otherwise is ugh
inb4 don't PUG I know I know
After getting Goring Blade I have to say: it feels like it should have been designed as a 2-step combo.
Idk what SE has against 2-step combos, there's only 2 in the game now (Shadow Fang and Ring of Thorns) and 3-step combos are just way too cumbersome for some things (like a DoT).
If it was 2-step we'd have more leeway with the timing and more room for Shield Swipes and it would help with hate issues as well (you'd be spending less GCDs on WS without any enmity bonus).
I could accept being OT if the majority of our cooldowns weren't heavily built for being MTs. Nevermind WAR just being plainly better at it than us.
So random, and likely difficult to test, question. But does the PLD get enmity for the amount healed on each player for Clemency?
Half Enmity for the amount healed, unless overhealing, then it's 1 point per heal.
Yeah but you'd only use that for the opener anyway. Any other time your Berserk was up you'd just swap stances.
