Keep reading, seriously, more sensible people come to the rescue and do well to point out the many flaws with PLD specifically and a lot of the encounter design in general.
(ie. Tanks are just DPS that can take hits, every fight is hard DPS check, etc.)
Hollowed Ground.
Edit: Should be the thread title.
Since there's pretty much nothing else to discuss about PLD, let's complain about the shitty armor models some more.
The Creed Cuirass and Gordian Plate Mail of Fending both look like ass. We should have gotten the Gordian Gown of Casting's model; that's probably one of the most PLDesque Body-slot armors i've ever seen. A full helm like the Maiming/Striking one would have been excellent as well, instead of what we got.
TL;DR: Dev team has been striking out since First and Second Coil's tank armor models.
If they ever let us dye High Allagan it won't matter what else they add to the game.
I think Creed Curiass is pretty fashionable on my female hyur.
The best was and will always be wootz/koenig tank set. Looks great on everyone.
First Coil fending gear was ass! The chestpiece made you look like a brown car grill and the legs were atrociously formless. Second coil gear was legit, Ironworks gear was also legit, but Valor/AF2/AF1+ whatever was The Shit. White ceramic plate armor was STYLIN' and PROFILIN'.
Creed gear looks fine, if a little bit too much on the flowery ornate side. But the cape is absolutely ridiculous, hate it.
The stupid shield on the chest looks dumb. I don't need an oversized merit badge to clue people into my job!

I'm disappointed that they still haven't put proper capes in, or more cowls attached to actual armor. Every time I replay Final Fantasy Tactics, I want a suit of armor with a cowl over top, like with the Knights Templar. I was originally hype when I saw the Creed set because I thought it was an actual cloak, but nah, its basically a massive set of tassets affixed to the rear, which is cool and all, but nothing like either a back-attached cape or a full-on cloak.
I'm not even going to speak about War's ugly ass AF other than asking why I put my axe together from random junkyard parts. I can kinda see a use for the chain as we have Holmgang, but why the fuck did someone think to attach a giant riveted plate on the back of the axe head? Is that supposed to be some "rough"-looking counterweight?
When they first showed WAR AF3 way back when I said it looked like someone took the AF2, scrapped it, then changed their mind and had to patch it up with cookware.
I like the paladin eso gear, I just can't not focus on the fucking mini-shield. It's dumb. Looking forward to my casual ass being able to dye the stuff, but I'm 99% sure it's going to be the armor itself and not the cape-color. I want my fucking red/white Richard the Lionheart knight gear.
Also am I the only one who really dug the WoD body? My current glamour's Demon body and koenig boots/gloves dyed dalamud red.
It looks like a Raider in Fallout 3. I swear there's some spare tire attached to my shoulder, and it looks stupid.
They seriously couldn't have just gone with a rugged, traditional Nordic viking or Huskarl look? Thick, heavy chain, studs, maybe some tatters if you want the rugged look.
