Controller crossbar help

at 2.0 I had "4" crossbars for SCH

1 for Nukes
1 for Heals + Eos buffs
1 for Heals + Selene buffs
the R2+ L2 and R2+ L2 (both set to crossbar #4) that had stuff like Raise Protect LB sprint and mounts.

Everything worked NP, but with the new skills it's harder

I don't wanna start using if possible the other cross bar so i wanted to do something like this .

Crossbar 1 Nukes (like before)
Crossbar 2 Heals (remove Pets abil and put new SCH skills)
Crossbar 3 (R2 + L2 and L2 + R2) Exemple If I have Selene up it sends me to crossbar 4, where half would be Pets abil and the others would be choco sprint etc. While if I summon EOS it sends me to crossbar 5 for Eos skills and Choco + sprint .

I don't like the pet hotbar because I can't move skills how i want. and I could mnaually change which hotbar I want for R2+L2 and L2+R2 in the menu, but if in the middle of the fight ineed to switch from Selene to EOS or vise versa it's annoying to go in the menus while fighitng

I guess using the keyboard for additional hotbars while fighting isn't an option for you? I, on most of my jobs, use 1 cross hotbar or 2 for all the frequent abilities, and then I have above the cross hotbar 1 or 2 normal hotbars with the stuff not so frequently used or that doesn't really require to be very quick. Defiance on WAR, the various summons on SMN and SCH, stuff like sustain, surecast, quelling... That, and potions, plus some space for skills that I have in a secondary cross hotbar but want to know the recast.

With the macro pictured, you can press the macro to make HB1/HB2 take on the setup of HB3-8. Of course, you want to reserve one of these hotbars for L2+R2. This will prevent having to go through the menus. You can also tie this into a pixie macro such that summoning them will automatically adjust the hotbars.

Like i'm using 1-3-4-7-8 atm I wanna remove the others (like don't access them)

Is there a way to make so a certain crossbar has different buttons when you have weapon sheathed and unsheathed?

Sechs, that option is literally on the menu that Yugl just linked.

Although maybe not what you're asking, just duplicate the hotbar and have different actions for sheathed/unsheathed options.

Unless I misunderstood you, I already do that.
I have crossbar1 shared and default for sheated.
Crossbar2 not shared (job specific) and default for unsheathed.

What I want to do is about the extended crossbar option, which I linked respectively to Crossbar8 left and crossbar8 right.
I wanted this to have certain (shared) actions when I'm sheathed, but then other actions when I'm unsheathed.

I couldn't find such an option =/
Guess I'll have to change my habits...

Doesn't work, it still let me access crossbar 4 even if it's not checked

Are you talking about the tap-R1 toggle? Tapping R1 will cycle through any hotbar that has actions on it.

There are two methods to swap between crossbar:
1) Cycle (tap R1)
2) Direct access (R1+ whatever it is)

Using the method Yugl showed you will make so you won't cycle through unselected crossbars (method 1), but it will still allow you to directly access them (method 2)



Btw for what I asked, I think it's not possible.
SE should add an additional option to "Extended Crossbar" and allow you to set "sheated" associations and "unsheated" ones. Without that it's impossible to do what I want to do and I'll just have to change my habits, sigh.
