The guy the Canucks picked third round they would have drafted late second.
Somewhat disappointed in what we got in return. atleast a second rounder. The saving grace is that JB is a rink rat.
Pseudo Jets fan!

We also picked up Gryba, so along with Reinhart at least we'll have some d-men with size to help Talbot out.![]()
Scrivens is a decent goalie, but anyone would struggle when they have to make 5 saves before people were like "Oh shit, we should go give that guy a hand clearing this or freezing it, hey?"
So I'm excited with a Talbot/Scrivens combo, but I also wanna see if McLellan is like "See that guy in the pads? Go fucking help him out sometimes."
Hey guys, just got back from Vancouver, did anything happen?

A tweet about Rutherford sitting in the stands talking to someone got turned into Rutherford got lost on his way back to the table and is discussing possible trades with fans thinking he's actually talking to his crew.
These senile jokes never get old.
Vancouver continues to give away goalies for dirt cheap. And Edmonton still re-shaping the hell out of their team. Islanders draft the first ever Chinese born player too. What a day so far and it isn't even noon yet (PST)
You guys keep talking like there are more than four players in the league who have scored more goals than he has since he became a Leaf. If you want him you're going to have to give up a good player and a good prospect to get him, never mind if you want us to retain salary (please fucking don't retain salary).
The teams he's willing to go to are limited and we're offering the most so far. Toronto has to trade him more than we have to trade for him. I'd be willing to part with Pouliot but Maatta is off the table in my opinion. If anything, hopefully the Despres trade made Rutherford more reluctant to give up key pieces. The stupidity of that trade is of course if we still had Despres, he'd probably be heading to TOR and the deal would already be done.
Honestly Kessel playing on Crosbys wing should scare anyone without a literal solid brick wall in net
Toronto doesn't have to send him anywhere, nor should they if they can't get want they want. He's a perennial 30+ goal scorer who has said repeatedly he likes the city. Rebuilding doesn't mean we have to dump every single player from the roster and start over from scratch, but it does mean that if we're retaining salary on one of the best goal scorers in the league, you'd better be making it worth our while.
I personally would rather keep him another season and see how he does with the new coaching staff, but if we are trading him, to a division rival no less, you better believe it's going to cost you.
Bozak, however, I'd be willing to part with for a bag of pucks and a 20-pack of Timbits.
What the hell is a Timbit?
Are they maple syrup filled?
some yes!
It's also a nickname for some sponsored kid leagues.
