Patch being named captain was by player vote according to habs site. I think it should have been PK too, but whos to argue with the players decisions.

Patch said he would have been cleared to play if the Habs made it though, which would have been about 6 weeks, considering the injury sustained on that dirty dirty play, 6 weeks is pretty short.
