Know what's realfunny? Next year after the Lakers and Knicks suck balls, the Knicks didn't have a 1st Rd pick and the Lakers won't if it's out of the top 3

Spurs and Portland (able to offer 5th year with max salary) are front runners to get LMA. Dallas, NYK, and Toronto out. Apparently Lakers will get a second pitch focusing on basketball.

i agree. kobe i can at least understand because the lakers didn't even hesitate to make the offer. he even said it himself "what am i supposed to do, tell them no? i want less?" i still fucking hate him though especially with how he mocked dirk for taking a gigantic discount.
wade though, just plain greedy. whatever, i can't say i wouldn't like more reasons to hate two of the players i hate the most in the nba.
Kobe is kinda right, Lakers have a buttload of money to throw around. They just got a new time warner channel back then or were about to, right?
Wade is old and injury prone, but when he's healthy he's pretty damn good. I can see why both sides expected a discount or to get paid.
As for Dirk, he sacrificed $15 mil, after Cuban blew up the team right after a championship. I see no reason for loyalty, especially that much loyalty.....
At least Duncan's team keeps winning, which is a legit reason for sacrificing
Mavs steal Wes Matthews
Aldridge would be insane to go back to Portland now
kinda thinking jordan to mavs is in the bag with matthews joining dallas
dude was offered most money in his life POST achilles injury and turned it down to play in dallas. don't think he'd do that if he didn't think they could contend next year. parsons/matthews/dirk can't do shit alone. but add jordan and they can make some noise.
(fwiw i think a parsons/jordan/matthews and his dead heel core doesn't do shit for you in this league, but that's just me).
Kobe has Kupchak and Buss bros under his thumb. Remember when they could have had LeBron & Melo for less? Or Paul George (who was fucking raised in LA and loves his home)? Still paying this dude through the nose for legacy status. Kobe is a smart business man to ride that shit, however.
I agree with you, fuck that legacy shit, let new stars rise from mediocrity instead. I think everyone has had enough of Kobe anyways. He doesn't hit the headlines like he used to, other than when its a season ending injury. Team hasn't been good since 09-10.
No clue why DWade even went back. Miami having been lowballing him since forever, he shoulda just took a mid level deal with the Cavs, played one final season with a with his best friend and had best chance at another ring. Its obvious he no longer cares about winning and just wants to get paid. Totally see him as a coach in the future, however. Take over as Bulls coach by 2019, lel.
wow gary neal is going to average 10 3-s a game on the wiz. Thx for the chip you guys
This nigga about to sell his soul to a broken team just so he can be star player, avoid free throw practice and avoid CP3.Marc Stein – Verified account @ESPNSteinLine
ESPN sources say DeAndre Jordan is on verge of accepting Mavs' four-year, $80M+ max offer. Dallas firmly in lead and decision likely today
Welp, Doc has Kendrick Perkins on the plan B status for a few days now. Damn if Jordan bouncing didn't slay our title chances though.
Fuck Parsons, fuck Cuban, and fuck Jordan.
how the hell is dirk still in the league, is he even an effective player anymore? Why would you go to a team where everyone is 100?
About a month into the season, DJ will realize how easy CP3 made things for him. However, he'll maintain his petty dislike of CP3 and probably won't regret leaving - even understanding his new team isn't any better and he won't win a title. He prefers a longer offseason anyway.
Dirk still got dat fade away, just irrelevant and doesn't mind taking a back seat role ever. Just amazing all of the petty excuses we got in place of "I hate CP3." He easily forgets that CP3 is the play maker and made him look great on the court.
Agree all the way man. Its like a decent blow to Clippers and a marginal upgrade to Mavs. He has to be the only person in the world right now that realizes he lost his best chance at a title win.
Jordan confirmed leaving Clips

wowza, rip in peace lob city. maybe should have held off on the Hawes trade until you were sure Jordan was resigning, don't think they have a single C or PF under contract besides Blake now
Mavs are p interesting with a Matthews-DJ-Dirk-Chandler core, lot of shooting combined with perimeter and interior defensive anchors. they have like 5 dudes under contract but if they fill out that roster intelligently things could get interesting fast
Placeholder for Spurs v Warriors WCF.
Clippers v Warriors if Jordan loss can be overcome.
wat if clippers sneakily bring in LMA and just play without a center and get buckets all day nigga

how did portland manage to lose everyone? by all accounts its a great city with great fans
