welp, didn't see that coming.

God damn. Esmail's latest interview says we're going to get some more answers on the back half of this season. This shit is getting ridiculous in a good way.
After the episode I thought back to every scene in the season so far and it totally makes sense. I got totally blindsided by it though. :O
Some decent speculation about what's going on from reddit (seriously HUGE spoilers if you haven't seen this weeks episode)

man this shit is wild.
Also Joey Badass has been a pleasant surprise as an actor.

i enjoyed watching darlene kinda lose it. she was the stable one compared to elliot but now is in deeper than he ever was.
Finally caught up. Really liking the show.
What do you mean not stable? Aside from the ending she didn't really have a choice in anything else this episode. The home owner had to go, as unfortunate as it is, but the Muslim chick fucked up by not watching the GPS. And her bf stabbing her in the back like that =/ yeah sorry not sorry.
Just plowed through all of season 1. I like that they acknowledge that the Tyler Durden thing was obvious to the viewer from the get go, and spiced it up with the viewer being a delusion as well. Darlene being his sister threw me for a bit of a loop, but damn does it make sense now that I think about it. The thing that's eating at me right now is I want to know what Joanna said in Danish to Elliott. It looked as though she was fishing to see if he would understand her, so there's clearly something going on with a Danish mafia or something. There's a whole lot more to her than meets the eye.
All in all, cool show and will report back later.
I wish this show would ditch Elliot's mental issues. S1 was so much better when it just focused on the hax0ring and drug dealer shenanigans. Half an episode of Elliot having mental breakdowns and half an episode of questions that only lead to more questions is getting kind of frustrating.
I don't mind the Elliot thing but I would like to see them on the attack more. I'm not a fan of what Angela's doing at the moment either
I don't feel any of the payoffs are really worth it. Everyone predicted the s1 twist from like episode 4 on. Darlene being his sister was a good reveal. Many people (not me tho because I'm a Mark) predicted the s2 twist. That was an enjoyable payoff for me. However other shit just feels flat. Majority of s1 plays like a great cat and mouse between Elliot and Tyrell only to not be cat and mouse at all and now we have no Tyrell in s2 and a "maybe Elliot killed him" off screen death? Garbage.
Putting reference to last night's episode in spoiler since you haven't watched it so don't read it until you do

I think that the drama surrounding fsociety, the dark army, ecorp, and the feds is so great but we only get spoon fed plot developments because Elliot has to spend half an episode dealing with his mental issues, which to me is the least exciting part of the plot.

Finally saw the episode, and I disagree with a lot of the sentiment in this thread. I'm loving every second of the show, including Elliots emotional stuff.
The should expand and say I enjoy the slow slow pace of the show. I like the emphasis on character development.
