I thought it was all great; they left a TON of loose ends though. Felt more like a mid-season break than a full season finale.

I suppose it's a smart move though; leave people wanting more.

the scene in the credits was mobley and trenton(i think thats her name) sitting outside of a department store on break(their friend got them a job there), discussing a way to undo the hack that crippled ecorp, when leon(elliot's friend in prison, the dude who went straight up shank ninja on the 3 dudes that attacked elliot) walks up and asks them if they have the time

This. The implication wasn't that Tyrell was never real at all, but rather that he died between seasons, and the one that showed up in the last few episodes was a new alter ego. It was pretty heavily implied too with him having a different accent, the taxi driver never recognizing him, the bizarre conversations with eliott, etc.

I appreciate the implications of small taxi scenes and shit, but when the FBI says flat out that they've been tracking Elliott this entire time to get to Tyrell, that means someone (who isn't Elliott) was doing all this stuff with the power fucking up. That could've been Dark Army or Tyrell... Then 2 minutes later Tyrell says he was the guy, which meant he was real.

They've been tracking Elliot cause they know of their history from allsafe/ecorp, not to mention the murder at ecorp where Tyrell was the main suspect. Then right after 5/9 happens? Suspecttttt

They have no idea if it's him or not, in fact they have no case whatsoever otherwise the FBI director wouldn't be worried about getting Darlene to cooperate.
