I knew it!! I knew Zhang's (White Rose) machine was going to turn out to be a time machine. They have been dropping BIG hints ever sinse it was shown. Kinda weird they actually went that way. It's going to make for a interesting series finale though.

i'm really hoping this isn't gonna get all anime on us and all these personalities in elliott's mind are actually "real" and are different versions of himself from alternate universes and somehow elliott is the only one in the world that is able to "talk" with all the different versions of himself regardless of which universe he is in

I knew it wasn't a time machine I was just so excited I couldn't think of anything else to call it lol. Alternate reality creator? I have a feeling the finale is going to be a real mind bender. I will be sad when it's over though.

well the show is certainly loopy, the ending landed for me though, was pretty surprisingly heartfelt and not too terribly hokey

Agreed. I've seen a full range of reactions to that, most of which are in the insane extremes, but I liked it enough. Key thing is not leaving me with more new questions than answers or something that I feel like I need to do a rewatch/read write dissertations on this series to be satisfied with it. The final few minutes of it just felt right.

I'll probably give it another watch on the weekend/next week and then just put this series to bed until some time down the line when I see it pop up on my suggestions on Prime or something.

I think it was one of the best endings, or maybe the best ending, for a tv show I have ever seen. It's now in my top 5 favorite shows ever.

Yeah, I absolutely loved the end, although there were some serious problems with his disassociative identity disorder. Still, would love to know what the fuck white rose's machine was. I mean, she was definitely attempting to build a time machine or a way to jump to alternate realities.
