Wanted to wait to watch the new season until I had rewatched S1 so everything was fresh in my head. I picked up so much more that I missed on my first watch through of S1; I'm amazed at how intricate the details are in this show.

I'm so on board for this season; the 2 hour premiere was great.

Did anyone recognize the song that was playing during the scene where elliot is daydreaming about sitting at a dinner table in the street with the ecorp building coming down in the background?

it was green day - basketcase. i thought that was a nice little touch.

Is this show good? Looking for something exciting to get into, Scandal got stupid quick, and Netflix can't pop out hits fast enough.

It's pretty much the first(only?) show that does a decent job of portraying hacking and the story is fucking awesome.

The first part of the episode made me feel like I was watching Step by Step and Full House on TGIF in the early 90s again. Goddamn; it was so good. The episode really moved the plot along but I was a bit confused they ended Angela's scene with the FBI chick so abruptly.

i hope that the reconciliation at the end carries forward with a 'unified' elliot. it seems that the website guys are the thing he's going to take down this season as at the moment he seems to be completely out of what's happening with f society

The whole angela hacking thing this ep was super shit
They could've just remote in with the phone on it's own and done everything necessary, or make a one line script that runs everything necessary. The show has largely stayed away from making the nerdy stuff that shit for story, but it was super annoying.

I agree that there should have just been a one line command to run a shell script to do everything, that stuff was very dumb. Not uncommon for sensitive information to be kept off wifi and on dedicated power/internet lines from the rest of stuff, even if in same room. Needing to plug into the specific system makes sense in theory.

every time i think the plot is getting ready to really move they just tease shit out. the Angela scene was too reminiscent of Elliot planting the raspberry pi last season. While I enjoyed the creativity of the intro I felt it went on for too long. Really hope it tightens up for the rest of the season.

Even then lets say shit goes wrong and they need to input commands - you can have an ssh server running on your phone connected to a usb>ethernet adapter, all angela would need to do would be to plug a random burner phone in the hardware and there'd be 0 issues, barring cell jamming on that floor.
