You wouldn't know that though because you've demonstrably never picked up a book nor educated yourself on the matter. Let me guess, overweight housewife?

    Madden 15

I have a feeling this will go nowhere with "lol ksandra trying to play a sprots game," but all my irl gamer friends appear to be full on rpg-only nerds. So, I figured I'd give BG a shot.

I got this when it went on sale on psn. I always wanted to play madden but I've only played like twice back in ~2004 when my exbf first taught me about the rules of football.

I sucked then and I knew I'd suck now, but I thought it was worth a shot. Yap, I suck and o am looking for pointers. I've gone through the drills and some I can't pass (can't seem to figure out what's the key to a hit stick,) but have practiced enough to get gold/silver on a lot of others.

With that said I played four games in the level a coach mode (or w/e it's called). Won the first two and got wrecked in the second two. My biggest issues are:

I very easily get sacked/intercepted. I can't get the timing right.
My defense is atrocious. I am not sure which position is best to start at for a play.

Oh and I can't seem to find how to get my people to rush near the end of the game. My first loss was because I couldn't get them into position in time for a fg, and they were positioning like they had ten hours.

Any tips to at least try and make me suck less?

Rushing a snap is just hitting the snap button while walking up to the line.

Also theres an option for a no huddle offense.

    K Ty.

Also does the fantasy team effect the other mode in anyway?
As well, does the difficulty increase after every season, or if I get the hang of it will it be standard until I increase the difficulty?

And are there any good guides out there like "madden for dumbasses" or something?

For defense, some people prefer to control linebackers/safeties and cover the receiver (that is if you can recognize the play pre-snap). Personally I like to control the RE/LE to rush the QB, or at least pick up two blockers which will sometimes open up for a DT to break through. A big part of playing good defense is knowing when to recognize if you should use man or zone coverage. If you are facing a run heavy team, it's also a good idea to switch to a 4-3 defense.

On offense, you just need to work through your rotations. Don't zero in on one receiver and pass it to him no matter what--that's how you throw picks. It happens fast, but I can usually get to my 3rd progression on a play before the line starts to crumple around the QB. If it looks like you are about to take a sack or nobody is open, it's best to either throw it away or, if it looks like you have a clear path, scramble for a few yards. Just remember to slide so your QB doesn't get rekt.

Don't be afraid to go in to practice mode and work on some plays repeatedly until you get them right--it's how they do it in real life!

You played a pretty good one in '04. "Shame" that Vick was so OP back then, haha, but I second the others: dont zero in on a single receiver and make sure you use some force in your throws unless someone is horribly open. Floating a pass is a surefire way to have a bot step in front and pick it off, so make sure you're using a little zip on your passes. Also: learn the button to throw it away. Its always, ALWAYS better to punt it away than to take a pick and possibly six.

For Defense, I'd suggest playing a lineman or blitzing linebacker and leaving the D up to the bots for the most part, because if you don't have a route memorized, it can be hard to anticipate where a receiver is going, especially if they're running slant or out routes. Blitzing is typically just a combination of ripping, swimming bull rushing or outright dodging defenders to crush the QB. If you have a particularly nasty DT on your team, try playing the guy right next to him; you can attempt to pull a double block and free him up to conquer the QB.

If you wanna play secondary, let the computer run the route and only step in when the ball is thrown. User Picks have a higher chance of actually being picks, but you also run the risk of fucking up an otherwise PC-swatted pass and giving up a TD, so use your judgement.

You can absolutely lay out some TEs and WRs, though, if you play a safety and line up a hit stick on someone.

Oh, and this tip won't work against AI but it's downright fuckery to use against a real person--kicking the camera back will sometimes cause people to think you are about to snap, which can cause them to jump offsides. It is fuckery but whatever, PLAY TO WIN BABY.

AI does that shit to me all the time and pisses me off.

I found the fantasy team mode is easier than the coach mode, so I guess I will play that a bit for practicing.
