They posted an update with a small mock up playable demo today. Makes it a little more rough that the project is gonna fail. There are several neat little hidden things in such a small demo.

Spoiler: show
I hurt very deep inside knowing this is going to end up like MML3 most likely.
I know it won't be saved for this Kickstarter but part of me hopes he'll go on to make a smaller version so people get to like it and he can retry with his bigger vision. I've never stopped loving the Legends franchise and I know I'd love this one, based on that incredibly small demo alone...
I really wish they'd release MML1/2 on PSN so I can play them again.
Could always get a cheap PSP and CFW it and play.

Red Ash Development is Go!! But How?
It's official: “Red Ash: The KalKanon Incident” is a GO for full development, along with ports to PlayStation 4 AND Xbox One!
We know this is sudden news. Are you surprised? How have we decided to develop the game before the Kickstarter campaign finishes? Well, that’s thanks to the support of Fuze Entertainment, who we’ll introduce now.
Fuze Entertainment Introduction!
Fuze Entertainment is a Chinese digital entertainment company engaged in production of console hardware as well as sales of console games.
Fuze is based around Chinese game industry pioneer Wang Feng, and was co-founded with partners Huawei, Nvidia, and Microsoft Xbox.
Fuze has established partnerships with major console game publishers to bring AAA titles to the Chinese market, and have made it their mission to bring the highest quality game experiences to gamers around the world.
We said it before: we have been working very hard behind-the-scenes for Red Ash! Alongside our Kickstarter campaign, we’ve been in negotiations with hardware makers and development partners, keeping your feedback and comments in mind. We hoped by introducing the world setting, art documents, creators involved, our latest prototype, and more, we could convey the charm of Red Ash. And it seems like that work has paid off with Fuze Entertainment deciding to join your ranks as backers, in a major way!
What happens to Red Ash now?
1. First off, the contribution of Fuze is a done deal. We can officially confirm that "The KalKanon Incident” will be developed to completion, with the initial goals for game content (8 hours), along with ports to BOTH PlayStation 4 and Xbox One!
2. The rights to Red Ash will be retained by comcept. We're excited to find such a great partner in Fuze who believes in our vision in its pure form. In addition, comcept will retain rights to creative discretion and decisions in game development.
What happens to Kickstarter?
The Kickstarter campaign is going 100% towards more content! Consider your pledge a contribution to stretch goals from here on out.
Exactly what are those stretch goals? We're sorry to say that will have to wait a little while longer! Like we said, we're very busy with many behind-the-scenes things over here, and we apologize if you feel left in the dark. As you can see, the things we have brewing that are keeping us occupied are BIG, and all for the purpose of getting you Red Ash in its biggest, bestest form. That's the reason we're less communicative than we'd like to be!
We know we’re in the final days of our campaign, but we’d like to ask fans to continue their support of Red Ash! Your money is going towards 100% content now, so please look forward to the revised "stretch goals"!
Fuck yes!
This is what I expected :D
God fucking yes!
I'm more excited than anyone could know.
I just woke up and saw this on my news feed on Facebook... good god yes. I look forward to it soooo much.
please look forward to it
For some reason I keep thinking this thread is about a pokemon rpg focused around Red when I see the title while scrolling and then I get disappointed when I remember it's not.Red Ash: The Indelible Legend[
Good news, although it feels kinda like: okay so why did you need our money anyways? Feels like he is being a little frivolous with the amount of games he's working on and who he wants to fund them.
But I really hope this turns out well, I would love more MML style games.
Was kind of wondering this as well, but I'm guessing it was a failsafe in case the deal with the publisher fell through. Best to have a fallback and use the extra money to make a more robust product. Usually i'd be mad at this kind of thing, but Inafune is one of the few developers I still have trust in to bring forth a quality product.
I thought it meant that, during the Kickstarter, they found someone to publish it, not that they had this publisher from the start. Which makes me think they were looking for one once they released the KS wasn't going well due to many a reason. But IDK how long these types of deals take.
Either way, I do agree he has a lot of games on his plate ATM, I think he should slow down a bit...
What other games he's working on that I'm not aware of? Mighty No9 is probably close to complete at this point and just going through the QA process.
From everything ive heard from people who have played the demos that Mighty No 9 that its looking very disappointing. Kinda leery on this.
The last minute changes just feels like they should kill the Kickstarter campaign. The whole thing was a bit of a mess from the get go already, and this just now adds to it. They have what they need now to produce it.
It's nice that it'll actually get made now, with actual console versions vs. the backer amount which is looking to have at most hit the bare minimum needed to fund it.
