b-but guys, reddit's longevity isn't based on whether or not the user base "remembers". It's based on if pao keeps making these types of decisions... and it's pretty clear she will, and that's what people are counting on when they say reddit will burn within a year from now

This isn't about just current damage control... these are symptoms of a money grab, venture capital meddling, or pure incompetence

I think this has been said several different ways and we keep coming back to, "but it'll be fine" when.. no, it wont, because this type of stuff wont stop happening until you can pay to have your posts at the top, advertisers' shit will be front page 24/7, AMAs will be pure PR stunts, etc etc. And then the use base will peace out to find something else, just like they found reddit all those years ago when they ran from digg
