also money's money, but the time aspect isnt that huge tbh. kinda depends on what you wanna do. It's not like XI where progressing requires huge amounts of time. Especially if you're not trying to be on the leading wave of people clearing shit.

Actually, given what I've heard of XIV lately... I struggle to see why anyone would play XIV over XI right now other than that its "new" considering XIV doesn't even have any endgame at the moment and hasn't since the expansion launched...!?!?!?
Even then, once they add it... it'll be the ez mode shit and then 2 weeks later you'll have 1 actual raid? u wot?

I'm actually kinda pissed because ARR has always been in this weird place where its cool that it didn't have way too much shit that you needed to do because who wants to spend their whole life on the game anymore, right? But ARR hasn't ever had enough content to last me one night a week. Seriously.

I even quit for over a year and then came back and was all caught up in less than a month and realized (once I caught up) that it was the exact same shit as before once you're all caught up and then quit again. New expac drops and it sounds worse than before the expansion. What gives?

I've said it before and I'll say it again.
1.23 was the better game. Not the client or the client/server relationship. If they'd have upgraded the servers and made the ARR client but left the rest of the game alone... FFXIV would be a much better game than it is today.

Also, what's really fucking funny to me about Heavensward is when I saw the shit PLDs were getting with the new level cap I couldn't stop laughing since 3/5 of the abilities they got were lifted straight from 1.xx PLD.
