If I felt like going nostalgiafag mode, I could probably list games literally all day with more rad final encounters than what I saw of HW.

Though I will admit that pretty much every game that ends in a proper duel (that's challenging) will probably make it on there for me. Fuck, I love fighting a boss that has (slightly overpowered) variations of the stuff I have (to compensate for the fact that it doesn't have a human brain) and encourages me to use all of the skills I learned throughout the game.

If the Delilas siblings were the final bosses of Legiaia they would definitely make the cut.
